Thunderbird Club

Yeah, probably right. It is a pretty versatile pedal.
Some in that line were really great pedals (perhaps others not so much) at really good prices (less than $100) new. Of course, the cork-sniffers would turn their noses up as they were not suitably expensive.

The EHX Bass Clone measures pretty good against any chorus pedal at any price point, IMO. Mine is back on the board after using the Demon FX mini-chorus for about a month which is a very good pedal in its own right. I just like to have options, I guess. Right now, working on a deal to get that South Shore 3rd Dimension on the North Shore, really glad you mentionned that line of pedals.

This is as close as I can get to the hotrod category, which isn't saying much. But you can haul a lot of Thunderbirds. Heck, the back seat has more room than any '70s Chrysler I ever owned. Just about rides as well as anything I've owned as well.

Yep, used to have a highly modified Stealth Twin Turbo, but now…

This is a 455 with a muncie M21 and 3.73 gears. I couldn't get 26mpg if I dropped it out of a plane.

I made some decisions at 21 that 43yr-old me somewhat regrets.

The only reason mine does is because it drops to four cylinder mode when you're cruising, mine didn't do that very often . 455's were great engines, love big blocks.

Watch out or you guys are going to make me post my '94 Buick Roadmonster wagon again.

We haven't had this long. Has the 3.5 twin turbo as well. A '12 with 160k (I know of one guy who has 280k on his and loves it another had 400k when he sold his.) Got it very reasonable for a third vehicle and something we can haul things around in. It's a Lariat and is swanky inside and rides fantastic. I was shocked. Inside and out it looks to be only a few years old. Paint looks so good I keep looking to see if it was repainted a couple years ago, but I can't find any evidence of that. We looked at a number a little newer and looked like trash or very rough. After having it, we are putting a few $$$ into it and plan on using it more than we thought since we love riding in it. I hate riding in cars and feel like I'm sitting on the ground, so now everything we have sets up in the air a bit. Sold the Buick from my MIL's passing to the wife's sister. Nice car. But it was a car....

I'm open to any tips on the 3.5 if you have any you think necessary.

Mine is the 5.3L V8 (2015 with 49K miles). No idea on the turbo other than use synthetic oil and change it frequently. Turbos are really hard on oil and can coke up the oil lines. I always turn the alt on if the oil pump is electric before starting the engine and always idle it down before shutting off.

Chickens in general are nasty and will eat anything. Including things in an outhouse. They have no morals or scruples. Some people raised on a farm in these parts won't eat them.
When I was in high school, I had a friend who's father was a chicken rancher (raised broiler chickens). Every few months, about 20 of us would get 5 or 6 nights work catching chickens. Good money; I made over $100/night for about 3 hours work each night. Bad stench; required to leave clothes outside and be hosed off before coming in to the house.

I have looked at those for a couple of years but never pulled the trigger. Someone needs to do it someday just so we have information on them.

Other than the covers, these bear a strong resemblance to Gibson's EB and 2015 Thunderbird pickups.

people in Italy return them if they don’t shiver when squeezed with lemon….talk about freshness….I like them every way, raw, flowered and deep fried, in omelettes and Rockefeller, my favorite….
my biggest gripe about leaving Seattle was not having this place nearby anymore……over a dozen varieties at all times…..

Yeah Sydney has heaps of places with oyster available. In fact, there was a variety called the Sydney Rock Oyster that was supposedly superb. Used to Öyster farmers on the George’s River in the southern part of the city. Not now. Pollution and I think a disease got to them and wiped out the industry there. They are still sound in other places though.
All the local fish n chips shops used to sell oyster (no shells) in a narrow glass tube. We used to buy them when we knew my Uncle (Mums brother) was coming around.
I’m just not a fan really. I have eaten them but I don’t get it I suppose. Happier to just not eat them.

I want this Firebird, anybody got 60K spare change?

Yeah, that front is my favourite on the second shape Firebirds, just popping the Smoky front. The one between I don’t care for and the last one is “yeah, nah” for me

not practical but sexy as hell…..I can load my 2x10 MB setup in my AMX since there’s no back seat, the heads go in the trunk and the basses in the passenger seat…….heck, you don’t even have to play well when you show up in that….
Yeah, heads in the trunk. Best to put them in a duffle bag to keep them from rolling around.

Thanks. Going to add a catch can to catch to get as much of the nasty out before it gets sent back to the intake valves. All turbos seem to have a lot of blow-by which throws a fair amount of nasty back in that is not helpful. I use synthetic in everything now and have some on the way.

Does anyone here own a Gibson EB3L? (long-scale SG-style bass) I recently bought and restored a ('70s) vintage Gibson HSC and will put it up for sale on Reverb soon, but wanted to offer it first to anyone here if you have one of these somewhat rare long-scale EB basses and don't have a HSC for it. PM me if so. No odors, all hinges & clasps intact and working. It had rips & tears so I glued and patched and stained it black - looks good. Interior length is 46" - it would work for a standard short-scale EB bass, but it's made for a less common 34" long-scale.

I added a catch can and breather to my Stealth TT. Also disconnected the EGR value. Definitely wouldn't pass the visual inspection here in CA.
