How you intend to use the one stack might determine the best answer. Is the rig just for home use? Or is it garage band use? Or is it a cafe/dinner ambience band use? Or a recording session use? Or worship service use? Or a large indoor dance hall use? Or a large outdoor or coliseum use? Do you have back problems with heavy load in/out gear? If it’s going to be transported to gigs or different venues do you have personal transportation or will you rely on mass transit, taxi, bus, Uber… to get to the gig? How deep are your pockets?
Each of those questions or combinations of them might have different answers.

I was waiting for that question. Potential for smaller outdoor venues. Weight is definitely a consideration. I have a pickup with a shell, so transportation is covered.

You may be able to skip life insurance, all depends on what your objectives are with it. I preferred term until my income is not needed for bills and funds were the to chunk me in the ground. House is paid for and I never buy I car I have to finance so they are paid for, so I likely won't get it again once my term is up a a few years. I'm certainly not going to carry it so I'm worth more dead than alive! I love my wife and she loves me, but neither of us carry anything just so the other will get some kind of windfall. I get a kick out of some the ads selling the idea of "Leaving loved ones a little something," as if life insurance is to be some kind of jackpot for some one. But that's just me. I'm sure you have, but may be worth evaluating actual needs for such insurance. All depends on personal objectives. Life insurance is funny. A number of people need it and don't have any, and some have it but don't actually need it.

That being said, the Italia straps from up in your neck of the woods are my favorites. Excellent quality, reasonably priced (they almost always have two for one promotions if you’re on the mailing list) and excellent customer service. I think it was Jeff who turned me onto them some years back.

I've got a nice black pebble Italia that I used a few times. Bought it and never used it more than a few times. Very nice strap.

If I could only have one amp, it would be the D800+. It's very flexible.

I wouldn’t sell it if I had one. At any price. Unless the buyer was insane and would pay me like $1500 for it. That’s a rare stack.

If you’ll be playing with a drummer, you’ll be hard pressed to find anything worth buying for less than $500 used. Especially in these times of ridiculous prices. Even something like a modest, but very light, Rumble 200 is hard to find used. You might find one of those for around $400, but it’ll take some looking. Don’t sell the Ampeg.
