Nice repair!

Thanks! It's a high school bass that I had previously repaired. MIJ branded Corelli 1/2 size 38 inch scale.
Some dumbäss contractor put up a shelf in the music teacher's office during a seismic upgrade reno, but he used drywall anchors!!! And what goes on that shelf but Sheet music?
So the shelf comes down, takes out the 1/2 size bass that's already had a hard life, and narrowly misses Catherine the music teacher. The School got a new nicer bass and I set up another bass for them in exchange for the decapitated Corelli.
I've started playing it in the Dad Jam Band. It's got a voice!

I have a peculiar knack for stupid but have never managed to break a headstock... I really hope I am not over-estimating my stupid abilities.

You should be safe. Even I haven't figured out how to break one. Yet.

I took my daughter to see the original Wiggles. Three of them retired after that. The blue one has needed to keep working to pay for the divorce resulting from an affair with one of the dancers in the show...

Was this one of those situations where correlation is not causation?

Agree. As a person who likes Ampeg, I have to say I like the amps better than the cabs. Most I don't care for.

My first tonal epiphany was a GK 800RB through an Ampeg 810.

I have never played through a GK amp. That's a defect in my experience level.

His offer of $800 is way low. Tell him you’ll give him the red Micro VR stack and $250. Assuming the TBird is sound and includes the case.

Yeah. Same stuff as the cheap “leather” office chairs from Home Depot and $500 “leather” couches. They look great for a year or two, then begin to disintegrate, leaving funky pieces stuck to the back of your pants.

That's why I like dead Naugas for my cheap "leather" goods. We have a Naugahyde sofa in the music room downstairs that's holding up very well. It is immune to beer spills and other insults, so it's perfect.

I was considering getting a 4 ohm Genzler 410 cab as I could bring it here on the plane, it's light enough plus they have six 3" cone tweeters which are supposed to disperse the highs very well. I've had so few gigs here though I can't really justify it.

And the dancing is cool. I have demoed the dancing at home and my daughter is scared to death that I will do it in public. She was mortified when I did the floss at her elementary school and it gave me the credible threat that "Dad might just be unstable enough to do this".

Those are highly thought of in the Mesa Club. Not surprising given Masa’s Andy Fields and Jeff Genzler’s long standing working relationship that continues with the Genzler pedal line....

Their 4 On The Floor is wonderful. At least for my needs.

Had to work a bunch of extra days over the past two weeks, thus no quality time to be Queenie. I needed to catch up on shaving my legs and certain other parts of me yesterday, felt good to be dressed!

I can believe it about the contractor. And I believe in Canada they all have to be licensed don't they?

When I worked for a mostly commercial general contractor--and ever since, I'm shocked at the number of "professionals" who don't know what they are doing. Some of our best and longest jobs involved coming in after a general contractor and subs were fired by the architect, owner or other person in charge, or had to go in after a job was "finished" and fix things. We had a reputation of doing things right the first time. Some later projects we were simply awarded the job with no other bids taken or taken seriously.
