crazy stuff……as clever as Piazza was finding surplus tubes for better pricing hence margins, these 6C10 tubes were originally used in CRT driver applications…..since CRTs are obsolete now, so are these triple triodes so now…….YIKES!!….
two of these are almost worth more than the whole amp…..

Yes, thankfully I think they last a lot time. I bought this 1959 Bassamp 835 about fifteen- twenty years ago broken, luckily it was just a burnt out resistor but it came stock with EL-37 power tubes which were also very rare and expensive and I had never heard of, luckily 6L6GC's are a direct replacement. It's got a preamp and a power amp like a little SVT, 35 watts, original speaker is also long gone so I threw a reconed Hammond B3 speaker in it and it sounds really good, I actually like it better than B-15's but it doesn't throw the sound like they do.

My R&B band doesn't rehearse a lot, so it's good to have a recording to refer to for arrangements and endings.

For sure - it really helps. We make in-house recordings of the songs we will eventually professionally record. It helps to listen objectively to understand the song more in depth.

Oh my god! I need a car. I totaled the Subie Outback in February during the storms we had in the mountains. For now, all I have is a crappie company car; a Nissan Rouge. It isn’t a Subie. I shouldn’t be so harsh. It’s ok. But I would never buy one. That TBird is gorgeous.

That's close to the one I have! The one in the photo is a '63, mine's a '62 Sports Roadster M code in red with the side skirts, wish I had the wire spoke hub caps though. Needs a lot of work (mostly paint and electrics, replace the solenoids and hydraulics), but it's fun as hell to drive.

Yep. Thanks V. Waiting on the Crosstrek Sport due this summer. We’ll see. I really don’t need something as big as an Outback. Or even a Forester anymore. But I had limited choices due to Covid when my last Forester lease ran out. We had wicked weather this year. Living at 6000 feet, even in SoCal, can be dangerous. Came around a bend, there was a boulder that was in the middle of the road, swerved to miss it but hit it anyway. Pretty much all undercarriage damage.

Hate to hear that. A car you like is a beautiful thing. Thankful you weren't hurt. Even cars we love can be replaced.

Thanks Donnie. But I’m long over being attached to cars.The best we’re six Volvos I’ve owned several. My wife has her Hondas. I’ve also had about a dozen company cars over the years. The worst was a VW Scirocco. I’ve had six Subies since Volvos became too expensive. Best value for the money IMO.

When I bought it I had no idea what it was, there was nothing really that I could find back then on the internet. I just knew it was an old Ampeg that I'd never heard of before and I had to buy it, I think I paid a little less than 400 bucks.
