You would have to unsolder the hot lead.I have TB+ pickups manufactured in October 2013. Question is can I measure as installed or do I have to unsolder?
Nice! Did you record the sets?Marathon rehearsal with the band yesterday, we played all three sets, each about 55 minutes, it went pretty well with just a couple of small issues. I was damn tired and very pitted out by the time we finished!

Bond Girl show tonight in SF at The Knockout, which is in Cherie & my hood. (the Mission) 2 bands, one long set. We record every rehearsal, for reference. "Remember that awesome thing you played last week?" "No." Good thing we had it recorded. For example. Fortunately I know a pretty good spot to put my recorder. We don't usually do that - the room is full of hard surfaces just now, doubtful it would sound good.

I'd considered that, but I figured it would still be useful unless you're playing note for note. But you've been this so long that you know your needs. You're working on original material so that does make sense, good quality recording or not, we're just bashing out cover songs so it's not quite as important.
I wouldn’t risk unsoldering them. Contact EY to see if they’ll swap you. If not, just resell them on Reverb for $10 less than the new ones, and get yourself the chromes you like.
If you truly feel compelled to change out the covers on the ones you have, I’d recommend using a small exacto hacksaw type blade or a dremel rotary cutter vs a soldering gun. Then I’d epoxy the new cover on with some JBWeld vs soldering the new cover on.
My R&B band doesn't rehearse a lot, so it's good to have a recording to refer to for arrangements and endings. You're working on original material so that does make sense, good quality recording or not, we're just bashing out cover songs so it's not quite as important.

crazy stuff……as clever as Piazza was finding surplus tubes for better pricing hence margins, these 6C10 tubes were originally used in CRT driver applications…..since CRTs are obsolete now, so are these triple triodes so now…….YIKES!!….
