Thunderbird Club

Dave’s not here.
I was serious. You’re attracted to good deals on interesting gear. You’ll really like that Thunderbird. $400.00. Whatta ya got to lose? Have it shipped to your local GC and try it. If you don’t like it, return it. Knowing you, you’ll like it (unless the neck is wonky or the TR doesn’t work). It’ll be a nice addition to the clan and it is different enough to justify the purchase to she who must be obeyed.

I likely have another Bird arriving at the GTG. So, on buying restriction until that deal settles. Plus, who knows what we will find at the other Dave's amp store. Maybe a B15-N or a Sunn 2000

Didn’t see it on Reverb where I got it for $109.

Epiphone ETBCS Thunderbird Bass Guitar Case

Do you play roulette? GC and MF say in stock and ready to ship. GC says pick up today at my local. If I didn’t have a ton of stuff to do I’d go there and see if that’s really true.

This will be it. There is a gig bag for a Thunderbird here locally, which is all I really want for the VP, but I have to ensure it will fit. If not, then I’ll relent and buy this from GC. Always nice to get to return it if for some reason it doesn’t fit.

Thanks again for getting this correct part/model to me.

I have an early 60's Reverberocket, one 12" and 18 watts with 6V6's, great guitar amp. No pictures. It needs some work but sounds good. Reverb doesn't work and it's noisy but it overdrives nicely. They're not real common as I guess the jazzers bought them and wanted the clear tone of the older ones so they put 7591's back in them.

Edit, just realized that the amp you have there on the bench has 7591's.

Here's an article on them:

Ampeg R-12-R Reverberocket | Vintage Guitar® magazine
yeah, have read that article….pretty accurate, thx..

I was out, but I'm back in!

hey, you coming to our shindig?

There aren't enough "likes" for this.

I'm sure he is thinking back on all the great walks he has had in the area and it gives him the motivation to explore more even knowing that it might make him sore the next day.
I do hope so. I was thinking doing something he used to love might give him enough of something out of the normal to enjoy that would give him a little spark to keep going.
