From what I understand, the “Captain” will meet with those who stop in, with an appointment. And he is reportedly a very nice and gracious guy.I agree and they are pretty entertaining as only the British are.
you bringing that?…I only need one chrome pickup for the BaCH. I may do a Lollar. But I’m content for now with the very different Artec.

If you all want me to. Last year I brought the ‘15, the ‘11 short scale and the ‘21 NR. I can bring the BaCH, my beloved LE Custom Shop Pelham Blue Epi, and anything else some someone may suggest. I have a lot of basses. Look at my profile.you bringing that?…

I need to try that. It might taste like lighter fluid. It might be great. But still….
Is the Amaro what makes it "black?"It makes a superior Manhattan, even better when you substitute Amoro for the Vermouth and add some orange bitters.

The NR gets the call for Sunday's last rehearsal before heading out to play next week.

This was posted over in the Spector forum, but equally good info for those of you that might be considering dropping a set of EMG pickups in your bird or other bass…
For you Peavey aficionados (@KaraQ), would a TNT 115 (200w) be a reasonable combo amp at $100? It’s in perfect condition.
I just grabbed that pic from the interwebs. But no, I don't have any and have never tasted it that I recall. Never was a Rye person. Good stuff you say? You're from KY and you have no Michter's.........

Lately my go-to bourbon is actually from Nevada. Smoke Wagon Uncut. Love it.I just grabbed that pic from the interwebs. But no, I don't have any and have never tasted it that I recall. Good stuff you say?
I was thinking the same thing, funny thing is, I’ve never considered myself an EMG guy. I’ve always been drawn to passive pickups and in some rare cases adding an active preamp. Out of my 15 Tbirds only two have preamps (Spector & FrankenGoth) all the rest are passive (aggressive). I might add a Nordstrand preamp to the pink Acaica bird to increase its tonal range, which is fairly limited right now. The Dingwall would probably benefit from a preamp as well to broaden its range. They all sound really good.

Yes, that and the orange bitters, it's quite good!
It's a very good Rye for making a proper Manhattan![]()
A lot of love for EMGs, while I probably prefer my passive basses having an active bass is certainly a good option for certain situations i.e. portable stages where you can easily get too boomy.
