Who knows for sure about the Gibson Tbird pickups. Until they stamp (not sticker) their name on the back I wouldn’t buy any from a non Gibson third party. Gibson better hurry up and brand their stuff like Eppi is doing or there’s gonna be so many fakes out there no one will be able to tell the difference.

Here’s some from the Nashville area that claim to be New Gibson Tbird pickups….

They are Epoxy potted in a metal cover. Not at all like what our Queen posted. I’m sure Veronica’s are legit. The one you posted before might be, but some fool removed any stickers off the back along with the foam spacers, so there’s no real way to know. And then there’s the one I posted above. At $400 each they might very well be legit… OR …a scammer that plans on making about $325 profit on every sale of his $45 Chinabucker epoxy potted into a $20 nickel or chrome cap. Yep, Gibson better get their branding act together quick before cheap fakes flood the market.
The backs of the TB+ pickups that were in the Flamingo before I started messing with it looked like that. Just epoxy filling the cover with cables sticking out.

ABQ

I have the venerable PR410HLF and the PF410HLF
Nice City. I like it. But that’s pretty much a two day drive one way. Even if I did a Cannonball Run, it would take three days there and back. They’re too heavy to ship. So count me out as a prospective buyer. For now anyway. If you still have them in 2025, we can revisit the conversation.

Anyone here have any right-angle instrument cable adapters they trust? I have a Hosa one that works fine at home, but not sure how much I'd trust it for live use. I have Whirlwind cables that I've used and trusted for many years, but only one end has a right angle. Since pedal order is made for right-handed players, I run my cable around the back of the board so it comes out on the left side. Makes a lot more sense to have it go straight back from the tuner's side jack then out to the right and then a sharp bend to the left.

Ken, order these. I use them without any issues
Hosa GPP-151 1/4 inch TS Female to 1/4 inch TS Male Right Angle Adapter

Yes, that and the orange bitters, it's quite good!

It's a very good Rye for making a proper Manhattan :)

A lot of love for EMGs, while I probably prefer my passive basses having an active bass is certainly a good option for certain situations i.e. portable stages where you can easily get too boomy.

I appreciate my Mesa D800+ every time I encounter a boomy room/stage. Having that much control over the EQ and the HPF really help.
Also ^ looking good Grrrl!

Mesa, IMO, make the best bass amps these days. My TT 800 is the best amp available today IMO. But also consider, GK and Bergantino. It is a great time to be a bass playing enthusiast. It’s all in the tone you want and can hear.

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a Bergantino around here. I also like most GK gear.

So my dilemma: I converted the hardware on my 2001 to all nickel, and I do have the rings and spacers. My plan is to keep the 1995, with the black hardware, and it will have a black 1 ply PG. In the ‘95, pickups sit high enough that I don’t need the spacers or rings so it will pretty much look stock.

The bridge pickup in the ‘01 will I think need the spacer (although I haven’t had time to spend setting it up after installing the Babicz), which involves using the rings. Since I converted it to nickel, it now has a vintage look, so using the rings will just add to that, but, that means holes in the body for the rings, so no going back.

…sorry, Fender in the mix…
