Just so I’m clear, the VP should have “Epiphone” branded “Pro-buckers” which are desirable, and will be nickel.

Gibson NR’s will be chrome and should at least have a label on the back?
Who knows for sure about the Gibson Tbird pickups. Until they stamp (not sticker) their name on the back I wouldn’t buy any from a non Gibson third party. Gibson better hurry up and brand their stuff like Eppi is doing or there’s gonna be so many fakes out there no one will be able to tell the difference.

Here’s some from the Nashville area that claim to be New Gibson Tbird pickups….

They are Epoxy potted in a metal cover. Not at all like what our Queen posted. I’m sure Veronica’s are legit. The one you posted before might be, but some fool removed any stickers off the back along with the foam spacers, so there’s no real way to know. And then there’s the one I posted above. At $400 each they might very well be legit… OR …a scammer that plans on making about $325 profit on every sale of his $45 Chinabucker epoxy potted into a $20 nickel or chrome cap. Yep, Gibson better get their branding act together quick before cheap fakes flood the market.

I believe that is a reputable shop in Nashville. Home of Gibson. I would call them were I considering it. It may be quite the find.

not an ideal match imho.....not enough balls to get that cab breathing..

Actually, the volume was there believe it or not, still i agree.
You'd have to get the PF50 into distortion to even come close to bringing that cab alive.
I just couldn't hang with the tone of that head.

FWIW those look exactly like what came out of my Orville. They were sold as "made in Japan with Gibson chrome covered pickups".

I like their vids. But they aren’t really reviews. And they don’t pretend to be. They’re demonstrations. A trip to Anderton’s is on the must see list next trip to England. Along with a couple shops in London.

I agree and they are pretty entertaining as only the British are.
