Dunlop shoesDefinitely. It's also not too far off. A lot of people liken strings to shoes.
That’s why I thought of WillIt's like a higher chroma (Gibson) Heather Mist Poly or (Fender) Burgundy Mist Metallic -
Being an amateur ferroequinologist, pretty much anything railroad related that I say is gonna be accurate.I suspected that you might be joking until I looked it up.![]()
I think you’ve reached the majors.Did I enable another one? If so, maybe I moved from newbie enabler to minor league enabler.

Love to have(had)one, but my days of needing-or schlepping-sumpin' like that are way behind me.

And it was good. It's been a while since I've played a bar gig with a band playing original material. We did the whole album plus one new song. A few selected covers (Verve and Manics) to fill up.
IE's for the whole band, worked perfectly. We have amps on stage too (guitar amps for the sound, bass amp for the feel plus a mic'ed Leslie for organ) but the overall volume levels are much lower on stage.
This was the last song (not counting the encores). The ending was even more shoegaze-noisy than on the record.
It’s an outstanding price. Hope it pans out.
@JJR58 …
new one…….apparently sounds like a philharmonic orchestra when through an octaver…….

Go with the gut.The more I read on these YBA200’s, the more it sounds like it may not be the amp for me. Looks like it’s big on distortion/drive, but not so great on good clean low end. Sounds like it’s might be a lot like a V4B, and I’ve found after owning a couple, the V4B isn’t for me. Plus, if the one advertised isn’t a “-2” model, it means I will need to have work done on it eventually, since I would want it to be as best as it can be.
I did read that changing one or both of the 12ax7’s out for 12at7’s could clean it up some.
Anyone have an opinion, and better yet, experience with these amps, I’d love to hear it.
I’m certainly still curious about it. I thought I had a serious buyer for a P-bass I have listed, which would make the choice easier (I just buy it and if I found I eventually didn’t like it, I’d re-list it and be in no rush to re-sell), but I’m getting the sense he’s going to be another CL flake, so the smarter side of me will need to not spend the money on it, even at such a good price.
A little Christie for this Sunday morning.
