I think those had a LOT of torque, just looked it up, don't know about the one you posted but:
"A locomotive can generate more than 60,000 lb-ft of torque. But in order for it to use this torque effectively, the eight wheels on the locomotive have to be able to apply it to the track without slipping."

I've had adjustment screws gradually lower themselves on Fenders before (not in a week though). I had a buddy years ago with an old Jaguar who used to have to put pieces of matches in the threads so they wouldn't fall down. Worn right out.
Of the TBirds I own, the VP is the only one I’d move. I just don’t play it much because is the least comfortable. It is in excellent condition, sounds great, has a good setup, the neck and fretwork are fine, it’s reasonably light and it has the Wilkinson tuners. I got a good deal on it five years ago. Maybe I’d play it more if my arms were longer.I don't say I won't buy another bass/amp/etc, because I know me and I know I will buy another. I do not NEED another bass or amp, but I WANT more. I do plan on selling a couple to eliminate some redundancy, but it can be difficult to decide which to sell because like you said, I like these basses. My usual method of selling is to choose several that I can live without, and then when one sells, I keep the others.
I think I just talked myself into keeping it.
The Ibenez, Sterling SBMM, and maybe the MIM Mustang are more likely condidates to sell. The Ibby and SUB would have to be local because it isn’t worth shipping them.
That’s why I like whiskey (whisky) tours. To be reminded of that.
I actually liked the first one you posted better, slow and heavy. I also liked when The Stones did Chuck Berry tunes slow and heavy. Love Keef's playing and Charlie's drumming on this.

First thing that comes to mind for me is “Dunlop’s Disease”. You know, that condition so many of us fall victim to, where our belly dunlop’ed over our belt.

Black. I bought it to refinish in PB. But it is in too nice shape to do that to it. Like I said though, I’m keeping it.

I'm no engineer but I've always looked at torque like it's what makes your wheels spin at low RPM and horsepower is what makes your car fly at high RPM's, 450/450 would be good enough for me.
Ahem!Yikes! I suspect the tone from the grub screws to be grubby and even more so if they’re old and worn. Likewise the old barrels may not hold water and essentially may be leaking all the good tone out of the bass. Chuck deserves nice tight barrels and spanking clean grubs.
