So cool! She is so sweet and down to earth. All of them are really nice. I saw them around that time at the Speakeasy at 1933 in in Bako. I’ve seen them several times, but this was the first time in a small venue. This was the set list:

They really are all so wonderful! Oh dude nice, this was for the Widow's Weeds tour right? Oh man Common Reactor mid set is incredible. That's a fantastic set! They're brilliant, especially in an intimate venue <3 The first time I saw them was in 2007 for the Carnavas tour and they played at the Ogden Theater in Denver, which was a pretty small venue too. Absolutely phenomenal.

They were the last band that my wife and I caught live pre-pandemic. We were lucky and saw them in Aspen and in Denver on back to back nights. Here was the set list when they played the Belly Up Tavern in Aspen along with my signed Carnavas vinyl! Super similar set but with Little Lovers instead of Common Reactor!

Yep. Widow’s Weeds.

an open 1N2D diode will cause that fuse to blow…

I had to go look at the whole schematic, that looks like it feeds the control grids with the negative bias, so with it open the power tubes would run away and glow cherry red I assume, but what would that have to do with his trying to set the bias? Or am I reading that wrong? Man, it's hard to find free schematics now.

I have two issues currently. 1) the hum above a volume of 2 and 2) the power tubes running too hot (blue glow). The bias adjustment pot isn’t making much difference and the bias voltage isn’t correct.

because that diode rectifies the DC bias voltage so as you say, he can try to set the bias all he wants but if there is no bias to adjust the tubes will draw too much current tripping the fuse....

I assumed he shorted something out to blow the fuse when he was checking as I'm not in the loop, I guess not. Did it happen while he was checking the bias? Maybe he turned the bias pot the wrong way and shut it off which would drive up the plate current and blow a fuse too. Incorrect bias can cause hum. If you want me to butt out just say so. Just trying to be helpful........

I was checking the bias voltage and misunderstood an instruction and turned off the Standby (went full power)…pop. The power tubes were not installed.

P.S. I love the discussion.
