I disagree, if I can’t get good tone outta my bass, someone might have to die…

The discontinued comment makes me think of the Classic Pro . But I don’t know it’s US price.IV from China. Love my 2018. I have La Bella black tapes on it and it really thumps.
If it was flat black it was a goth.
The price is too low to be a VP or a CP so it’s not one of those.
If it was a brown burst it was most likely a IV.
If it had a prominent multi laminate neck through design it was a Pro.
Anybody looking for an Acoustic 370?

I'm here to enable, although it is very tempting!
I believe they are the same - with production variations depending on when/where they were made.it wasn't a pro, it wasn't a goth, although i like the gothbirds a lot.
in looking up "epiphone thunderbird bass IV", all the results lead to the Epiphone Thunderbird E1. are they the same bass, did the E1 replace the IV or ???

Eric Johnson owns us all.speak for yourself there.....Geddy and Steve Harris care very much...![]()
But tone is in the flip flops.

The E1 appears to be the IV brought back to life , except that it’s not on the Epi web site and Gibson support doesn’t have a clue if it’s in production. If you want a new one, buy so to be safe.it wasn't a pro, it wasn't a goth, although i like the gothbirds a lot.

Killer post. That brings up a few very curious phrases commonly used ; "that cheesecake is to die for!" - Really? You'd die for cheesecake?? ... "that band killed!" - And still at large? ... "I could have killed little Johnny for doing that" - you would murder your own son?![]()
