My T5 is also a 35" - feels as natural as any four string Thunderbird. Mike did a great job on these.

Thank you Andii and everyone for the Birthday wishes!
It's my first Thunderbird and second Lull. I will post some show shots after a concert I'm doing on 9/13. Interesting story on this bass, it used to belong to Hugh McDonald (Bon Jovi). Thanks to TB'r jaibeau for letting me know that this might be his. I confirmed it with Lull's shop. He had it made then decided he wanted one with 34" scale. While owning it he sanded off the finish on the back of the neck. It made it nice and smooth to play but I have sealed it with a satin finish to protect the mahogany from sweat/dirt, etc. I have to say that the thunderbird body is perfection for me. I wear it at just the right spot as to rest my right forearm on the point. It's like it was made just for me. And the sound out of this thing, especially through my tube amp, is f*****g awesome.
Hey mark, isn't that T5 Chauncey bought Hugh McDonald's old bass? You seem to know this stuff-
and had to let go. Honestly there are time that I feel like sell several basses with the notions of getting a T-5 and reducing the number of basses around the house.Time to upsize the bird storage facilityThey're in 3 different rooms right now!
Cool to see that bass went to a good home!
Paul at Mike's shop contacted me about it, mentioning that it was Hugh's bass, at the that I didn't have the $$$ to spare for itand had to let go. Honestly there are time that I feel like sell several basses with the notions of getting a T-5 and reducing the number of basses around the house.
But wait... Isn't the correct number of basses to have around the house, N+1 where N is the number of basses currently in your possession.

It's never N-, always N+.
They're in 3 different rooms right now!
Time to upsize the bird storage facility

Man! This is getting better and better!
I have an entire room, in which I have all my instruments and racks are stored - My bandmates refer to this as "The Closet"...
Currently "The Closet" holds 13 basses, 5 guitars, 1 keytar, a couple of synths and 6 x 10 unit racks with several racksynths and outboard gear from my old studio, including a 24 ch mixer as well as a lot of other stuff and all my tools...

Are we sure that's not Tbird1958 in diff threads?I sure hope that keytar gets played by someone that looks like my friend Elisa here.

Thanks, it's just built from a body and neck bought one at a time off of Ebay and Craigslist and parts of other T-birds I have. I have about 12 P's, P/J's, T-birds I put together from parts.Pretty nice... Is it a modded Epi Silverburst or Epi TV Silver with added black paint and regular Epi Tb+ humbuckers?
Wow Liam!! Take care of yourself and here is hoping for a speedy recovery!!
