Thanks to TB'r jaibeau for letting me know that this might be his. I confirmed it with Lull's shop. He had it made then decided he wanted one with 34" scale. While owning it he sanded off the finish on the back of the neck. It made it nice and smooth to play but I have sealed it with a satin finish to protect the mahogany from sweat/dirt, etc. I have to say that the thunderbird body is perfection for me. I wear it at just the right spot as to rest my right forearm on the point. It's like it was made just for me. And the sound out of this thing, especially through my tube amp, is f*****g awesome.

Cool to see that bass went to a good home!
Paul at Mike's shop contacted me about it, mentioning that it was Hugh's bass, at the that I didn't have the $$$ to spare for it :crying: and had to let go. Honestly there are time that I feel like sell several basses with the notions of getting a T-5 and reducing the number of basses around the house.

Hugh McDonald fun fact- he recorded on all jovi albums, that other dude in the band was just in the band -
Also- I met him at namm one year. Tom Peterson was making an appearance at the lull booth and he was in line behind me- I recognized him and chatted a bit with him. When we finally got to TP, mike and Tom were giving him a hard time saying "why did you wait in line?" He answered, "I wait in line like everyone else, I'm not important"-
I thought that said a lot about his character especially at an event full of "entitled" musicians-

I have an entire room, in which I have all my instruments and racks are stored - My bandmates refer to this as "The Closet"...

Currently "The Closet" holds 13 basses, 5 guitars, 1 keytar, a couple of synths and 6 x 10 unit racks with several racksynths and outboard gear from my old studio, including a 24 ch mixer as well as a lot of other stuff and all my tools...

Hello everybody, not posted in a while (hope I don't loose my royalty status). I fell off my bicycle and lacerated my liver, and was in an Intensive Care Unit and in over wards for a few weeks so I have been quite unwell, on top of that, College has been starting back up and getting prepared for that while being extremely unwell has been hard.. I've been advised to not do much for 6 months so maybe I can give the 'bird some well deserved love!
