Thunderbird Club

What's for dinner in Seattle when I don't want to cook on a warm evening?

Johnny Utah IPA, a nice plate of salami, pickled rhubarb, sauerkraut, nuts, grapes and bread.

Main course was Caprese.....

A well worn backside.

BaCH II..

The black one that I had and later sold did that for it's new owner. I will say that when I put the blue one together I doweled the two outside mounting holes using TiteBond and then installed one of Scott's tail pieces with ease.

Oh come on Roger. You’re a talented player.
Eh. Anyway there was a band in Miami who won a contest sponsored by Rolling Stone Magazine- for the Worst Bar Band in America. A local outfit put together to take on the challenge, "Scraping Teeth", won. And they worked very hard at it!
I was sitting in Churchill's Hideaway with my girlfriend one night, sipping a pint, and we caught a set. We caught it alright, like a handful of forks to the face, lol! Good God, it was awful. We sat there as long as we could, my poor girl was writhing and nearly in tears when I finally agreed to go...
A bass line bad enough to elicit discomfort, even despair- now that's an endeavor I'd have to give a nod to!:crying::cautious:

Ok I'm playing... But what an opportunity for a performance-art project. :D

That is so weird. Mine is rock solid.
I could be mistaken Marshall, but I’m thinking the BaCH bass is the one I had where I started to detect the slightest lift (less than the thickness of a credit card) so I installed oversize screws. I never actually took the tail off, I just removed tension and replaced one screw at a time. It was either that bass or one of my other hard tail basses, but I think it was that one. In any case the screws that are in it are at least as robust as the originals and maybe even more so.

As a rule of thumb I always do a paper slip test on all my hard tails when I do any maintenance on the bass (fret board conditioning, cleaning, truss adjustment, string changes…). If I can slip a piece of paper under the claw (under tension) it gets tightened down (not under tension) and checked again the next day. If it comes back, I typically up the screw size. Never had a pull out.

Good to know George. You may have mentioned that to me. But of course I don’t remember that.

Have I said how muck I love the Bach?

Never more than daily, but who’s counting. :D
It is a seriously nice bass, I’m just glad it went to a home where it will be properly cared for and appreciated.

There's something cool about "an orange cat named Hank" that just jumps out. I think there's a funny country song in there somewhere. Country Punk, maybe? Can that be a thing?
She had an orange cat named Hank
You can take it to the bank
Darn cat he really stank
That's her orange cat named Hank

She's a lady who's so fine
I'm so happy that she's mine
It's love all the time
Except her orange cat named Hank

You know I'm happy and I'm happy quite a lot
But when I'm overjoyed, I pick up that little snot

She had an orange cat named Hank
You can take it to the bank
Darn cat he really stank
That's her orange cat named Hank.

Dylan would have at least 17 more verses. Just sayin'.:smug:
