Well, I suppose thats one way to clean a key.
Reminds me of junior high chemistry class. Lights were out showing a movie and the not so swift "gifted" kid decided he wanted to see what happened when you put tweezers into the power socket....quite the sparkler show.
If all goes well, today should be a New Bass Day (x2). 
We had a kid who wanted to see what happened when he sprayed alcohol on aluminum window blinds and lit them on fire.

Not sure which bass we're talking about here, but I can confirm that a modern Gibson Thunderbird fits in the Gator ProGo and Icon cases with the bottom inside cushion removed. I've been using them for about 10 years like this. Great cases.
Not knowing what the statute of limitations are, I will say that I knew someone in high school that decided to "borrow" a spool of magnesium ribbon from chemistry class to conduct his own scientific experiment. Later that evening while attending a football game the test was conducted. Results were conclusive. The hypothesis held true. Several wraps of magnesium ribbon around a door handle (on the opposite side of the school from the game) could in fact be lit with a bic lighter. Unanticipated effects were the blinding white light that lit up the entire side of the school yard bright as day and the door knob being completely burned off the metal door. Let's just say that sometimes kids do the darnedest things.

I am. I sold a Surf Strat guitar, a Jaguar SS bass, an acoustisonic amp, and a Leslie emulation pedal. So, 4 things out, two things in. That's a move in the right direction. Plus it covers two Tbird sound options I didn't already have covered.
I have an oversized Mike Lull T5. I'm calling it a JAXT5.
I had no idea the Lull oversize was that much bigger! Wow.
Do you know if it's longer than a current Gibson Thunderbird?
Plays just like a 35" scale, but body has more beef for sure. If I ever get to one of the GTG I'll be sure to bring it with.
No clue, I know the mono bag I posted a couple posts ago is listed at 48" and this stuck out about 3-4 inches, so 51ish" at its longest points.

One thing to remember is that the Lull headstock is shorter than Gibson's, so it could equal out. I knew someone at Mono whose Lull Thunderbird (regular size) fit in their M80 case, where my Gibson wouldn't. Not sure how much length the oversized body adds.
Lemme know. I need at least that for the 67NR.
Question re your black hangers. Are those Hercules? And they mount properly in the Diamondlife slats?
The "Rockbag"TM I have holds the 67NR, but is actually too roomy. I hafta add rolled up towels and other [stuff] to keep the bass from flopping around. PITA.
