It can all happen - things shouldn't be that far off so overlap is possible. If not, visually minimizing holes no longer needed should be do-able with finesse.

I knew you’d get my drift Geo.
I don’t mind a little overlap as far as the bridge is concerned, I don’t have that kinda OCD.
Filling holes is also no bother to me cause I’d have my guy do something where it all blended and would hardly be noticeable.

This is quite kind of you.

What I looking to see is if I can fit a Gibson replacement 2 piece offered by Philadelphia Luthiers.
It would require my tech and his handy work to position both the bridge and tail piece in their proper places for proper intonation.
From the way I see it.
New holes would need to be drilled for the bridge posts providing that they stay inside the raised center piece.
The existing holes I would just fill or have plugged.
But there should be plenty of clearance to do such a thing if the posts don’t measure outside of the raised center piece.
I know. Sounds wack.
And don’t know if my explanation makes any sense at all on top of it.

I’m sure this idea will be found pretty laughable by most.
But as I said, it’s just an idea.

Like this, Jeff?
It's my Orville, it had a three point.

I thought you meant "how high is the raised bit?" - got the wrong end of the stick!
Well it's getting late high so I can measure properly for you tomorrow but just looking at it i can see the two main posts are well within that central section - (using an old wooden school ruler I've got laying around in my teaching room) the central section is approx 4⅛" wide and the post centres are approx 3⅜" apart. Is that the measurement you need?

No worries, I didn’t really make that clear.
But with those measurements, pretty sure I can do it.
