What's your signal chain? In my signal chain, the Thunderbuckers and TB+ didn't sound very different.

The second section sounds more balanced.
To my ears, playing thru my iPad speaker (horrible way to test bass pickups) I’d say the second sound sample was warmer and rounder on the bottom end and more musical (cleaner, better definition) on the top end with the mid range about the same as the first sample.

George is graciously going to give me some of his time this Sunday to help install the Gibson in the BaCH II. And I now have a set of the 760 Probuckers in the VP with the broken neck that came last week. So I’m set thanks.There's no comparison..... Way more going on with Gibsons, I've already done it.

Going back and listening with headphones, the second clip didn't sound as dark and the first set was thinner. Which I guess indicates what is being played through can make almost as much difference as the pickup itself. Said Capt. Obvious. Kind of like playing at home verses a big room makes things sound very different.
I like B better on my iPad. I think it’s the Gibson.
A has more top end, so thats my pick. I think it will stand out a little more in a mix, but I could work with both.
I listened on headphones-only way I can hear my desktop-but ya gots to remember, my hearing sux.

I was thinking about making a router table template for the spacer. Might be sketchy actually routing the piece though - have to give that some thought.
