Thunderbird Club

My TBirds. I'm pretty sure the Epiphone is one I owned back in the 90s. I saw it and had to grab it.

And buzzing my house with afterburners blazing. Too bad my iPhone camera sucks.

They've been buzzing over the Mission the last few days. Where they arch around I guess. Heard them on a bicycle ride to the GGBridge from Pacifica on Friday but didn't see them. Saw their smoke trails yesterday. When I lived in Chicago I lived about the same distance from where they performed on the lakefront off Lake Shore Drive. Same arching over our neighborhood. I wanted to do a Marin ride today but no way am I going to mix it up crossing the GGBridge while this is going on.

I've just had a listen to all 3 of his options: Dominator, Devastator, Degenerate. & the devastator would be the one i'd get for myself. Degenerate is too much, I like to control the chaos of gain in my signal when its active xD But to each their own for sure. at 100 GBP per, doesn't seem too bad.

Quoting myself, but gave these a listen again, & I've changed my mind - Dominator's would be my choice. They have a clarity the Devastator sorta lacks (not that it has none, just less), & i feel within my own signal chain/bass rig, the Devastator as cool of a name it is, The Dominator's vintage hotness gives it a better edge for me.

EDIT: & price is fair too, at round 350$ w/ship (tracked & signed), kinda perfect deal. I've checked out Lollars, Novaks, Mojo UK, & of those; Lollar's the only one who offers black chrome/nickel, where the others are plain nickel. But Mojo UK is by far the least $$ (when converted to CAD) in comparison to Lollar & Novaks. But GeminipickupsUk has it beat by at least 200$.

I noticed that in the descriptions with color. I wonder if they could do black nickel covers. They offer that in pickup rings.

Seymour Duncan custom shop does black chrome as well

Oh nice!! I've read somewhere on talkbass while browsing late last night, they're similar to Lulls in the sense they are very clean sounding. Not overdrive/distortion prone unless you kick the amp to it (on its own, or with fx). Can anyone confirm?
This one has some distortion but that’s due to max gain on the amp.

This was done direct input to Waveform.
