It'll be fine then. I usually run mine with a GK MB200.
OK. I started reading notation in ~1952. Any of the other forms of writing just confuse me(it don't take much...).
Micro VR stack? I had one in red.
Listening through monitors, they sound very nice, big, bold, with a good clarity & they do sound nice overdriven. Though at possibly 650$ CAD the set of Duncan's, kinda steep for my wallet. Definitely worth it, but to each their own taste. I think had i had the funds & knowlege back then, i would've swiped a set of Thunderbucker 66's - those definitely have something to them in tone & ballsiness xD.
Played around with my treebird this afternoon through my GK 400RB mk II, into an SWR goliath II 410 cab, & while the Deep Sixx Pickups sound good, going from that, to my other basses, & if i stay within Gibson territory my Grabber bass, the grabber has such a bite & growl to it, the Bird sounds too dark in comparison. It's not a bad thing, but it does limit when i'd use the bird on songs/gigs. I guess overall, i wish it had more clarity to it, in an unfair comparison, i've got a short scale build with a single tv jones thundertron bridge pickup positioned a full pickup above where a sweet spot split precision pickup would be, & wired direct to the output jack, it has bigness, warmth, but can get aggressive, & clear. My bird doesn't gain any clarity unless i switch up EQ, but then it's too much for another of mine.
I guess, that's why i've been in a pickup rabbit hole these past days - its the only bass of mine which needs a drastic EQ change when using it. My other basses, I 99% of the time have the same amp EQ (with minor ajustments depending on room mainly & if the given bass needs a slight boost/cut of select frequency). Still tempted to try a set of these Thunderbird Bass for Original Epiphone,With Gibson Thunderbi, they are inexpensive, & i don't dislike the "modern" gibson Bird tone. & if these weren't up to what i'm expecting, or i don't gel with em as much, it's not a loss. Also, i'd give the kingdom a review of them, for sake of having another of these inexpensive Bird pickups in the books for those curious/intrigued by them & are looking for something different. Those Gemini pickups are still on top of my list, gonna do some more digging (& well clear most of my financials this month), & i'll go from there.
Hey everyone! I'm back, I ruined my computer a few months ago, seems computers and spilled coke don't mix, and I hate using phones so I've just been on hiatus. I've moved back to Mass 3 or 4 months ago, I'm working and starting to -play. I'm trying out for a Bad Company/Free cover band Wednesday. Normally I wouldn't want to do it but the players are good and the bass parts are pretty cool so we'll see. I also get to play my '18 black LE Thunderbird, I forgot how much I like that nice slim neck, that plus the Lull pickups make it a great bass.
Unfortunately I lost all my pictures too so I'll just have to take some new bad photos to replace my old bad photos.

Think about the new Gibson shop releases of the black ceramic / TB+ style. These might give you what you want at a good price point, and they are black which is what I think you’re looking for?
For the life of me I can’t find where they are on the Gibson site, but I did buy a pair of the vintage (chrome) ones and they are pretty sweet sounding. I just wired them up into one of my ‘01’s and I’m looking forward to how they will sound with the full band on Tuesday at rehearsal.

Thanks for the suggestion! they're relatively accessible at 169$ CAD, & only 40$ more than Gemini UK's pickups. Still tempted by the Dominators he offers, & IDM the nickel cover if that's all that's available - i'd just use some metal specific paint to go black. (or i may do red, & draw more roots).

I’ve had to learn to play a variety of charts. Tabs (IMO) are mainly for learning to play something a specific way, or at least a way when you can’t figure it out on your own. When it’s random people on the internet writing these, it can be entertaining. When I first started working on White Rabbit, I looked online out of curiosity. Most of the tabs were clearly off, based on tone. Then I watched videos of JA playing, and I was vindicated. JC played this way up the neck, but the tabbers were all assuming things had to be in the “money frets”. There are probably correct tabs by now.
