Might be a departure soundwise, acoustically anyway. Also you might find yourself wanting pickups that aren't as 'hot' as t-bucker types, 'cause of feedback. But I'm just talking out the side of my head now. It's a novel idea.

I think the original was "reverse" because many basses before it (Fenders for one) had a long upper horn, while it had a long lower horn. Nothing more complicated than that.

Yes, I know that - not my point. Even if someone 'thought' that it was not advertised by Gibson as "a reverse body design" - it was simply considered a Thunderbird/Firebird design.

Thats called G R E A T branding. Q-tip is a cotton seab etc.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a Gibson. I have an Epi Classic Pro I want to change the bridge on and was just looking to be sure I ordered the right Hipshot 3 point. Some of the black look glossier than some of the others. Must just be the photos.

Hipshot black is a matte powdercoat, like this 'Type B' bridge (the color's off but it's the correct amount of gloss):

I'll keep that in mind. Wouldn't mind having both for awhile and A/B them... if I find and Epi for cheap. I've heard a lot of good things about the Epi Pro V's.

The Epi Pro is a different animal from the more standard, non-active versions, a few of us here have sharable experiences with the A/B of them.
Myself, having run into an agreeable trade deal for an Epi Nikki Sixx Blackbird, I'm a fan of the passive 'Bird school now.

The white one isn't going anywhere, it was my Holy Grail bass and still is.

If it's possible could I be #667? I have a shirt that says "667 Always One Step Ahead of The Devil" and ever since I would use 667 for various things. If not that's fine.
