Something from last night, this is from the first set using the 64II, I haven't put new strings on it as it's sounded good at home, but I'm thinking it's time for a new set of Nickel Rounds.

Last song of the night, I'm playing the BaCH, I have to hand it to Sophia, she tripped and fell about halfway through the second set, breaking her wrist in the process - she didn't know it at the time, just that it hurt. We finished the set and played most of the third, stopping at 1:00AM per the casino with this song. The X Ray was ugly!
outta my left wrist at 14 y/o. Still bothers me occasionally.Aren’t the Gibsons a bit thinner?Congrats! Those Epi's are great and get you pretty close to the Real Deal 60s Gibsons, which are the gold standard. And yes, Thunderbirds can sound fantastic with flats. My White VP (same as your 60's Bass) has GHS flats and is killer. TI flats even sounded great on my '76 for a long while. I don't know this, but guess the Epi is going to be a little heavier than a Gibson, generally speaking. All mine are.
Ahem!Thanks for not using "stones."![]()
Go dive the Great Barrier Reef and while yer there...

Congrats and welcome!
The Rex Brown and Gene Simmons Tbirds are set neck with flat back, so probably heavier. Standard Tbirds have thinner wings.
You can reduce the weight further and improve the balance of your 60s/VP with hipshot ultralight tuners.
