Thunderbird Club

Jeff is one of a handful of y'all I can now recognize just by seeing hands on a bass.

Chuck too.

It’s the DiCosimo preamp pedal that he will me making a rack mount version of. This is the pedal.
DiCosimo Audio 360+ Bass Preamp (Acoustic 360) | Reverb
So many interesting pre amp peddles these days. My Genzler 4 On The Floor has 360 setting which sounds really good. A nice overdriven sound that blends in nicely in a live setting. I use the SVT gear the most, but like going the 4th gear once in a while for that 360 flavor. How close it actually is I don't know, but it sounds really good.

The Sean Conneries CD should arrive in the next couple of days. Four years in the making - 16 songs - 6 originals by Paul. If you would like one, PM me with your address. ($10 + $3 mailing - PayPal) :bassist: Use Friends & Family -

Any idea of the build quality of the Bugera tube amps? Some Behringer stuff is really solid, some not so much...
I almost bought one of their SVT knock offs but was concerned it might turn into a money pit. I can't remember the last time I saw one. Most may have bit the dust.

We use a Behringer Air Mixer (computer based sound board) and it works fantastic. One of the best things we've ever bought. I love it. Someone in the band can even use an ipad to adjust if no sound person at practice. Saving desk settings is fantastic.

Well shagity shag shag, the posts are pulling forward on my CP tailpiece.

I’m going to watch Christopher Lee’s Dracula, and maybe Wicker Man after that…

it was just the one side and it wasn’t as bad as I imagined… just a few glued in bamboo slivers and all is well…. finished before Lucy got staked…

wood must have been soft in that spot… on the bass… not Lucy’s stake…

You may be the only person I know who never saw the movie or read the book.
A friend and I went to Daytona Beach mid-to-late summer 1975. There were huge crowds - 50 feet or more from the waterline. Every couple hundred yards someone was in the water. It was like having private beach front property. It wasn’t until we went driving to look for supper that we realized Jaws was playing in every theater. It helped make for a great beach weekend.

I haven’t played a gig with my Gibson Thunderbird for several years. I kinda forgot what an incredible instrument it is. It’s so light compared to my usual P-basses, it’s super fun to play with sustain for days (with round-wounds) and it has such a nice bright growl tone that rocks so perfectly. Plus, the ergonomics feel so natural and easy to play. It’s going to be coming out to shows a whole lot more. Oh yeah, it looks f***kin’ cool!!
