Thunderbird Club

I am too. I have a desire to be part of a Clash tribute.
Good afternoon MCF, I saw your post and couldn't help but ask about a Clash tune. Long story, but I found out this morning I need to learn Rock the Casbah today, or rather (hopefully) before a rehearsal tomorrow morning. BL changing things up on short notice. Also added Twilight Zone by Golden Earring....and Leroy Brown by Jim Croce?! Not certain what to expect next. Interesting group of people.
Happy Friday folks, I hope all have a great weekend.

This is how you give a birder a 1964 heart attack.

Leroy Brown? First song I ever sang lead on, in front of some poor people.

Anyway they didn’t throw things or leave, so I took that as a win.

Any gigs on the schedule for TSC? My wife now wants to see you guys live...well, me too.

I'm working on scheduling a mid-day Monday J1 Geo B-day TSC show at Winters' - it's a tradition! Otherwise nothing (live) for now. Breaking in our new drummer and learning new songs.

Love them! But like so many punk shows of that era, no chicks.
If you were a girl who was less that 6'-2" and 210 lbs, would you have gone into a mosh pit? Even if you were that big, would you have gone into one of those mosh pits back in the late '70s or early '80s? And come to think of it, if you were sane, the answer might have been no no matter what. Mostly guys are dumb enough. Not that I would know.

Wow. That’s eclectic! Love all three songs. You can probably find charts for Casbah and Leroy fairly easily. Not sure about Twilight.

Yeah, sort of. But I attended at least one show on every Yes stop in So Cal from ‘74 to ‘81 and you would be surprised. But Neil, Bowie, and the Boss shows always had more girls. Though the Rod Stewart, Cheap Trick, Petty, and Frampton shows were tops.

There's a prog doc where King Crimsons drummer Bill Bruford talked about the fact that there were no post-show groupies waiting for them because there weren't any women in the audience to begin with.

I was 5’8” and all of 135 pounds. I survived and am here to tell the tale. The Clash. The Vibrators….
