Thunderbird Club

Yes, I am careful about that sort of thing, even when folks are ok with it. :)
Yet, sometimes.......I will be me, all caught up in the moment. So, you guys are all so wonderful.

Back at you V.

Whats a good multi fx bass lab out there? Thinking of going witha vox stomplab... anyone use this gadget? Or the fender downtown express?
There are so many ranging in price from under $100 to around $500 for a Zoom B6.

The Fender is pretty basic with a few of what some would say are essential effects. It seems solid and would probably hold up well for gig use.

The Vox models have been around for years and have a lot of effects plus the ability to add some of your own.

Zoom has a variety of boxes. The B6 is the Cadillac.

The Zoom B1X4 is probably the most popular of the lot at $120 for the one with the foot pedal. That’s the one I have. It has a lot of pre-installed effects plus memory space to add several of your own patches. There is a pretty vibrant community of users here on TB who share patches or “recipes” for a ton of custom effects. The downside is that it’s all plastic. It may not stand up to gig use, although some use it on stage and reportedly don’t have issues.

I got mine to play around with and learn what effects I might like to use. I haven’t found any that I really need. It’s a fun toy though, and I’ve had fun trying to emulate Squire’s sound on “On Silent Wings of Freedom.”

If you decide you want a multi-effects lab, there are hundreds of YouTube videos you can watch to help you choose what you want.

More Acoustic amp saturation from early '70s Miles Davis... (Micheal Henderson on Fender Jazz bass) I hope his "stacked" 18" folded cab was secured! :jawdrop:

Thank you! It will be quiet for us. We have no kids and my sister and her offspring live in Oregon. My mother’s relatives, some of whom could play the stereotypical drunk uncle, all live a lot closer to V than me (Sedro-Woolley).

That's about an hour + 45 minutes north of me, a lot of the land around there is very low lying, almost at Sea Level, kind of reminds me of Holland in places, Washington is a truly beautiful state.

Happy Thanksgiving day American boys and girls:D
Dallas is a lot of fun! Had some real Texas BBQ yesterday and I’m looking forward to my first NFL game today.
I'll look for you in the stands on TV. Wave so we can see you. :)
If you are rooting for Dallas I would say it's a good bet. Our home team here in the DC region is the Commanders. Previously known by another name.
Mrs. Gator is a huge fan. She gives me a hard time when I call them the Commodores.
Unfortunately our teams SUCK switch is stuck in the "On" position.

Have fun. Cheers!

Thanks. I'm thankful you are getting to live the good life down in Tejas. Don't enjoy it too much you might move there. Seems to be a thing so there must be a reason. Likely they all heard Miles lives there.

If Irv would only take his shirt off and have painted a Thunderbird on his chest he sure would be easier to spot.

As for the Commodores, just remember the good old Gibbs days. Sometimes looking back is better than looking forward. In this case, it is.
