This popped up in my FB feed today. Not really familiar with Jethro Tull and/or Glen Cornick, but the legacy is undeniable. And a Thunderbird had its say in it.

On occasion I have been called a shill for the House of Guitars by people meaning me insult, I take none. I'm proud to be associated with store since 1976. I think it's safe to say my life wouldn't have taken the path it has without it's presence in my life. My first bass was bought there, my first Thunderbird and Marshall as well.Which is justified - you will give his store and that bass a lot of exposure as you already have.
The store supports many venues and festivals each year not to mention charities.
As we all know independent brick and mortar stores are becoming a thing of the past. I'm more than happy to beat the House of Guitars drum to help in some small way to keep it going.

I went with this one last night. It did not disappoint.
A T-Bird is lurking in the case just behind the amp as a back up.
I used the G3 for the entire show.
Back to some form of Thunderbird for the next gig.
Good to have options.

I can't think of anyone doing it. Rob would be a great resource as he has built a number of multilam neck through Tbird like basses.
My Orville will end up looking very much like a 64, but it's got a set neck.

It sure felt good to get that done! I have many projects on the go, and I've been doing a fair bit of stuff for Richard. I think he's got enough pickguards and TRCs for a whileI really like doing a once-over on frets & the fb - once done the bass looks, feels and plays great! Richard (@Ringhammer) last night at the Hotel Utah had his '90s Gibson T-bird re-fretted recently and just seeing the lights glisten over his new polished frets was a visual delight! (that only a guitarist/bass-player would appreciate!)
My Epi IV is next up for fret dressing, and then the Jazz Bass Special neck.

He favored Gibsons... (looks like a modded NR II that he added B pu and extended pg)
He also played a Fender J with a lefty neck - maybe he was the 1st to do that.

Here's a question for you electrically inclined types. I have a 59 year old 15" speaker (not connected to anything). The impedance rating is 8 ohms. My multimeter reads 7.9 ohms resistance. In theory, resistance should be lower than the rated impedance (5-7 ohms). Should I be concerned about the slightly higher resistance? I wouldn't think so, but you all are the geniuses.

Yes, I quite enjoy a good Manhattan, and the subtle variations, Rye and Black. A good Negroni is my other fave, again a lot of variations based on the Gin and Vermouth.
Black Manhattan time.
