Thunderbird Club

:D Joe is right there with with all the other guitar gods in my book! He and Derek Trucks will carry the Clapton, Gibbons, Stevie Ray tradition long after those guys pass(ed) on. In fact I hear Clapton is already having serious playability problems. Now all I need to be whole is a solid replacement for David Gilmour.

Here's a fine guitar wankfest with a side serving of Dusty Hill...

Enjoy

I can get that you like Bonamaso, thats cool. For me he is missing something.

...but the big question is:

Which tuner is best for metal??? ;)

Korg pitch black, it is black on black, can't get any blacker. Handles the low notes quickly. Highly recommend.

Right? There are plenty of other Gibson players. Including bassists. Make a Shavo signature T-bird, maybe.

Because we do? It's very important to get a tuner that can track low tunings.
There is a shavo signature bird, it just never made it into production, perhaps if their upcoming album is a hit we might see it hit the stores, or perhaps an epiphone version.

It is silver with black pickups hardware and I believe the pickguard is black too.

That is why I want to snag a TV silver, it's close enough (chrome pickups and hardware though). I am seeing how long my goatee can grow, and if the high profile gigs start coming in, I may even finally shave(o) my head :)

See, that's the exact reason I think Henry J is a goddamn idiot.

Think there is a Polish metal/polka band.

I've partied with Poles in Poland and they do know how to have a good time! The people from the region in and around Krakow(where this band is from) are some of the nicest most unassuming folks you'd ever want to meet. Friendly, polite and really fun when you add vodka. I do like the traditional garb too, it just adds to the fun factor.

I can't believe you missed the opportunity to say, "None more black".

The TV Silver is a cool Thunderbird though I never felt a connection with it and ended up selling it to our very own, @Mike.C.

You can see it in his avatar that it's been modded just a bit with a full lower side PG. I'm sure he's rockin' the f*#@ out of it so I'm happy it went to a "family member" and is being enjoyed.

Joe B doesn't really do it for me either, but as Forrest would say 'life is a box of chocolates'.

Don't remember how I discovered her, but I like Sam Fish.

And among the 'modern' players I also like Deb Coleman. Thing is I'm quite happy listening to Albert King and Buddy Guy, old fart that I am.

I've seen Samantha Fish live a couple of times. She's no Bonamassa but I defer... Different strokes. Whether anyone likes JB or not the guy can definitely play.

Interesting they are from Warsaw. They use a fair amount of imaginary from the eastern end of Poland, where the Lemkos are from. I especially noticed the traditional axe, or Valashka.

I actually agree. For me, he's missing the "cool" factor that goes along with being a blues guitarist. In person, his appearance, demeanor and body language just comes off kinda nerdy or a fish out of water. It's like you'd expect to bump into him in a Starbucks vs bumping into SRV in a smoke filled pool hall or Gibbons in a strip club. That said, he's an accomplished guitarist and his music has the necessary blues soul to it, it's a shame he doesn't.

Not to be argumentative but they're actually from about as far south in Poland as one can get, Węgierska Górka. It's southwest of Krakow and many hours from Warsaw by train. I've spent time in and around Krakow and Warsaw where Warsaw is very much big city life and it shows in the people. Krakow on the other hand still has that old world charm and that's very present in the people as well. Jus' sayin'

If you've ever seen his TV appearances from when he was a kid, you'd see that what you've said applied even more so back then. I kind of feel bad for him in that he pigeonholed himself into that one genre and never got to be a "guitar god" in the vein of an Eric Clapton. Sure, he's played with the legends and is well regarded but I'd bet very few seek out his music or performances. Have a look at his interviews, just weird.

My mom's family is from Eastern Slovakia, about an hour from Poland. Due to facebook, I can keep in touch with people there and thank god for google translator. Not perfect, but get ideas across.

One of the many.

If you are going to have a Henry J, it should be this Henry J:
