Nice job! What strings are you using?

My favorite Thunderbird is the Gibson '15 with the DiCola/EB tapped humbuckers. A variety of tones with SIT Powersteels.

Thanks! I'm using DR Hi-Beams stainless steel strings. So far that's what i've liked out of the bunch of strings i've tried throughout the years

The real issue is the solder tabs are part of that board, so there has to be a replacement part that has those and would just require me to reattach the cone leads to the board.

The market here is such that we're 'lucky' to get any more than $350.USD for a gig. We talked to a sound guy-once. He wanted $100. Nope.

Yah, I guess I should have said, we never need to bring a PA. Cherie will sometimes bring a monitor if the house system is lacking one. In-house PA systems run the gamut from DIY minimal to sound person pro-level.

Because the JBL EON ONE doesn't feed back and has 180 degree dispersion, I have it-and the mixer on its table-next to me, on my right, between me and the drums. No need for monitors as we hear exactly what the audience hears.

That's cool. They were just never my thing although young Stevie was pretty easy on the eyes. I heard a lot of their deeper tracks on a now long departed FM station in Miami(prolly Spanish or Creole now). I was more into Chicago, BS&T, Chase, 10 Wheel Drive, etc. being an ex-saxist in addition to bassist.

Who is Australia's most successful bassist - not necessarily the best but successful. I'm talking Australians or from bands that started in Australia.

b) Maurice Gibb
c) Athol Guy (The Seekers)
d) Nick Seymour (Crowded House)
e) Anthony Field (The Wiggles)

I excluded Flea as his RHCP career is born in the USA.

BTW I don't have the answer, just interested in where this goes. AFAIK only one of the 5 used a Thunderbird.

Maurice would be most successful if by that popular is in anyway implied or associated with the term, but not likely as a bassist (which was actually your question). But I'll stick with that. Daisley maybe second.
