if you're into Americana at all, listen to the entire Tusk album. I've always said that album was a harbinger of a genre the hadn't been recognized yet.

That's cool. They were just never my thing although young Stevie was pretty easy on the eyes. I heard a lot of their deeper tracks on a now long departed FM station in Miami(prolly Spanish or Creole now). I was more into Chicago, BS&T, Chase, 10 Wheel Drive, etc. being an ex-saxist in addition to bassist.

Who is Australia's most successful bassist - not necessarily the best but successful. I'm talking Australians or from bands that started in Australia.
a) Bob Daisley
b) Maurice Gibb
c) Athol Guy (The Seekers)
d) Nick Seymour (Crowded House)
e) Anthony Field (The Wiggles)

I excluded Flea as his RHCP career is born in the USA.

BTW I don't have the answer, just interested in where this goes. AFAIK only one of the 5 used a Thunderbird.

There are many ways to define success here- best known? Made the most money? Played on the most hits? Longevity in industry? Hangs out with Meryl Streep? Has a Thunderbird collection to rival Geddy, or at least Veronica?

I would think Maurice Gibb has sold the most records of all of the players mentioned.

Well, let's see. In addition to the previously pictured JBL EON ONE, I have 2 of these(custom made PA cabs- 15"/horn/piezo tweeter-behind grill)w/ stands, then 2 plastic P_____ PR12s(partially visible to the right)also with stands, 2 Gollehon columns, 2 Kustom wedge shaped floor monitors, and 2 Yamaha powered mixers(not pictured). Except for one of the Yamahas, none have been outta the house for about 8 1/2 years.
