I haven't been bothered by any G&L headstock styles. But I can understand why some do not care for the looks of them.

I've had G&Ls for years and don't think of it. It's certainly no worse or odd to me than MusicMan with the "hanging chad tuner" on the bottom. I think of G&L as having a loaded headstock. Aim it at people and they know you're done playing.

Relevant phrase: "easy on the eyes". I was never gonna actually meet any of them-especially the ones that have died, so, TBH, I didn't/don't GAS about their personal lives or strengths. They are/were actors. I fully recognise that I'm shallow on the subject. Who I find attractive on a personal level is a whole nuther story.

I think we all want to believe that the 'celebrities' we 'follow' are good people. Sometimes that pans out and sometimes it doesn't. Another highly admired and respected actress did good things 'behind the scenes' her whole life.

I grew up with the jelly from the can and still like it. But homemade cranberry sauce is better. Sharon dislikes cranberries in general but found a blue[berry] cranberry sauce recipe she likes. It’s excellent.

I thought she played LP Basses but never really followed her that closely.

Is that headstock a deal breaker? I like it but Santa never delivered it to me!

As Greco is linked Ibanez/Antoria, the fb inlays are the same on this rare '70s White Eagle. (most are black and called the Black Eagle)

it looks like some listings online are calling the 2014 thunderbird with the 120 year inlay a thunderbird IV (Gibson). But others do not.

Maybe Gibson called them IV. I don't thinks so. A Gibson reissue (after 1989) is just a Thunderbird.

Then we can get into what pickups Gibson was using at any given time and other mysteries. Not that they sound all that different.

Born in '45, I lived through it-sometimes quite happily(we didn't know what we didn't know).

One thing that's constant: Cultures constantly change. Even those who were thought to be enlightened at their tiny slice of time in history. I can only imagine what people will think of even what is considered the most enlightened our time in 100 years. No cultures escape the scrutiny of time (fairly and often unfairly), if for no other reason those later in time are pretty sure (self-convinced), they alone are on the path, if not near the pinnacle of all things good and proper. If/Not being a fixed, unalterable standard, what is considered good is at best a human construct, which will, of necessity, be ever-changing.

Except the Mighty Thunderbird. All wise cultures will forever hold it in high esteem.
