The canned stuff is ok, but my wife’s cranberry sauce made from fresh cranberries is the best. And, yes, I fully appreciate how lucky I am.

I grew up with the jelly from the can and still like it. But homemade cranberry sauce is better. Sharon dislikes cranberries in general but found a blue[berry] cranberry sauce recipe she likes. It’s excellent.

Some years back we started looking for an alternative to a big tree and dealing with lots and lots of ornaments to unwrap and rewrap. After putting lights on houseplants and cycling through ornaments, Sharon came up with idea of several small trees she just covers and puts away at New Years. Thunderbird thinking!

Yeah, she's a great dog. Very calm (especially for a 2 year old), funny, nice to everybody and is apparently becoming very good at moose hunting. Also knows how to relax.

Okay, my first amps were a Squier 15 and a GEM Mars 50, which throughout my teen years, were my go-to amps.

Until in my college years, I decided to get myself something better. It was a Peavey "Mace" head and a Marshall 2x12 cab.

Which I thoroughly trashed throughout the remainder of the nineties and into the early 2000's.

I eventually sold it to my then bass player, who offered it back to me today. We arranged a trade and so, that old warhorse is back home again.

Those Mace amps were very popular. Not always the cool kid's amp, but they sounded great and I never knew of one failing.

Happy Birthday to me - the Walkabout seems to be a good match for the Epifani T212. Plenty of bottom end and volume for in home use (probably enough for small to medium gigs as well if needed).

The goal was to get a nice sounding rig for under $1000 (total head and cab). Mission accomplished.
Now back to bass acquisitions - a nice fretless might be in order.

I would really like a fretless. I've played a few and liked it, but have never been willing to cough up the $$$ for one.

I've always been attracted to strong women in art/culture/politics - and there are many examples, especially in music. Shirley Bassey was one who maintained her integrity for decades. But regardless of what you might think of someone like Taylor Swift... she's a very powerful voice and I'm not just talking about her as a singer.

Relevant phrase: "easy on the eyes". I was never gonna actually meet any of them-especially the ones that have died, so, TBH, I didn't/don't GAS about their personal lives or strengths. They are/were actors. I fully recognise that I'm shallow on the subject. Who I find attractive on a personal level is a whole nuther story.
