I failed assembling a crystal radio when I was about 6 or so.
Tech Dad never tried again. But I regret not having followed his footsteps - it’s a very cool occupation

A crystal radio was the first electronics project I did! Probably age 8 or 9. But Dad - a chemistry professor and science nerd - helped.

Got the Greco-alikes in my PB Non-Reverse - got to record it alongside the sound of the originals, just a queue for studio time!
Related topic: normal (reverse) Thunderbirds' bodies are the exact same size as Firebirds - is the same true of the Non-Reverse Thunderbirds/Firebirds? Getting templates together for fun projects - got a diagram from Mr Brooks but there are only certain dims on there, any helpful info gratefully received!

Mr. Brooks? Is he making a new "Blazing Thunderbirds" movie?

We saw a few in the ABC islands, but not *quite* as psychedelic as the Polychrome[tm].

I'd never tried one, either, but always wanted to. And man, is that some perfect overdrive. From mild zing to righteous, heavy grind. It works really well driving the Super 800.

Interesting, it must be new. I understand that Epi will be releasing some new colors on Thunderbirds this year and a re-issue of a '70s Gibson classic bass - Not a Bird.

I just got email about this model from both Epi and some retailers today. I was coming here to post, but figured I'd catch up first and see if anyone else has. Unsurprisingly, they had!

Oh, I see. Not an official Gibson or Epiphone one, but same 3-point mounting.

Be nice if it’s an EB-3.
I know they already have one.
But a more faithful reproduction.
More so on the body thickness and headstock shape.

Other's have already chimed with Grabber/Ripper (& by that extent, i'll add the G3 even though it's not my cup of tea), & that would be cool (if they did them as they were in the 70's). If they came out with an RD bass, i'd be inclined to get myself one (then again, i'm back burning the idea of my own w/thunderbird headstock).

A Bass i would 100% buy if epiphone were to re-create it 100% (no short cuts, or alternatives); Les Paul Triumph bass. Mainly my Dad used to own a Gibson one (very aged white which turned full yellow because of smoky bars & venues from way back when). That's another i'd want to build myself (i've all or most of the specs for the pickups themselves).

Babicz 3 point replacement and 41mm nut width. They also put different tuners on it.
Funny that they can put a Babicz on an Epiphone, and a Hipshot on a Gibson, but they can't put a 2 piece bridge on a Gibson.
