Super cool. I think Gibson was on board with the 4 Seasons as an authorized artist in those days. But super cool seeing a T-Bird and a Fire Bird on the same stage, along with Gibson Amps. History for sure.

On closer inspection, I think you are correct about the amps being non-Fender and probably Gibson.
I'm not up on Gibson amps but the 4 Seasons amps more closely resemble these than anything Fender ever put out.

...and what's with the bands in those days, guitar stands weren't invented yet? Why do I see old video after old video where they will just lay their expensive guitar on the ground when finish, the Beatles included. I cringe every time.

That would be an awesome combo - I have the '64 T-bird and always wanted a 360 (since the early 70's) Can't have everything.

The closest I ever got to playing through an Acoustic was in the late '70's.

Was at a rehearsal studio on the west side in NYC, 31st, 32nd.

Was a 370 head through a '70's Ampeg 810, was freakin gnarly to say the least.

I had a 70's all transistor Acoustic (150b) w/2 dual 15" cabs - big heavy & loud! Bought it (used) answering a (newspaper) classified ad (late 70's) for $250 during a Chicago snow storm. I was the only person who braved the storm so the guy just accepted my offer.

I'm not all that familiar with what they were using back then.

And it pays to trudge out in the snow sometimes. But a Chicago snow storm, my hats off to you JIO!!!

You can get a pile of them for a couple bucks from any brewery supply. They are consumables, so once it's not holding the tension you want, chuck it and replace.

But that's a terrible waste when there are other options.

I have to be honest - I didn't focus on those kinds of details back then. It was my first real amp (before that my dad & I built a Heathkit transistor amp w/2 15's) and used it for years playing in the Eddie Taylor Blues Band in Chicago. (one cab) As a CA resident since '90, snow is something I see images of!
