They get the little ones that are fairly freshly hatched, but the little mothers will still bite.

We all love our TBirds. Some more than others. For example, I have 5 basses: 2 Gibsons, 2 Epiphones, and one Ibanez. I really don't need any more. Matter o' fact, I might sell* the LPB2/5.
But we mostly have different tastes in amps. That also goes for vehicles. I've been driving vans since 69 so I could load my large gear. I like the current gigmobile 'cos it'll hold all I need for any gig I'm likely to get. So my preference in vehicles isn't close to what some of y'all prefer.
That said, I've been watching alotta Barrett-Jackson the past coupla days. The only cars I liked were three 57 TBirds, 2 or 3 "Fastbang Mustbacks", and a few mid 30s Packards and Mercedes. At the risk of offending some folks, I never was impressed by Camaros. $220K+ ? I don't think so. But if you've got a ship(sp?)load of disposable income-and that's what tripped yer trigger growing up-it's "yer" money.
* not give away. I went down to FtL yesterday to talk to a guy who seemed interested. We were a good $500 apart. Oh, well. Back to the drawing board

String related debacle: Since perhaps Summer 2023, i've had Dr Hi Beams stainless steel on a Pbass of mine, 45-100 gauge. Have played that bass the most it just sounded good. The strings were rough under the fingers when new, but broke in nice after a month of solid playing. Cleaned after each play, but perhaps from constant playing, yesterday it was just dead sounding/feeling. I tried my hand at boiling them today (a first for me ever), & while it got some zing back in them & the bass overall. But, i've decided to get some SIT PowerWound Nickels, The PowerSteels on the bird don't feel as rough under my fingers the first few plays as did the DRs, & while i dig the tone, i'm very much used to nickel wound strings. Less irritation so to speak, & a nice clean break-in time, & i do enjoy the mellowness of Nickels.

As am I on at least 90% of my gear. Only one guitar, a prince telecaster tribute, sports GHS strings. While one bass, squier affinity pbass from 2003, has boomers. Oh & well my built bass VI has labellas 26-95 SS. & now this pbass w/power wounds, & my bird with power steels by SIT. loving em.

I primarily used GHS before switching to D'Addario's - I still have GHS sets on a few basses. LaBella flats on a few also. I've tried many over the years and those three are what I count on for my sound. I'm sure S.I.T.'s (and others I've never tried) are good - I just have no reason to jump ship at this point.

Somebunny on another forum a while back ordered a 110v or more cap for their geetar and it didn’t fit in their control cavity. It was about half the size of a twinky.
I try to buy switches and jacks in bulk and on my last order to make the minimum order of “free” shipping I bought a couple $5 fancy oil in paper caps. Shipping would have been $10 so they were free.
I usually get ceramics or polyester or whatever looks pretty off eBay by the dozen.
Those orange looking ones are popular and I have used those before.
