With guitars, I never found a string I just had to stick with until Nashville Straights - and then they went out of business. I really liked EB Slinkies, but they never lasted long. GHS and D'Addario were my main go to strings after NS died.

Others may know. I don’t know if it’s a direct drop in, but getting a set from a broken Epi Embassy or Vintage Pro/60’s Thunderbird may be the only option for nickel. Why are you wanting to replace the chrome one?

Saturday night at the East Greenwich Hotel. Cool venue, the Updike Room (the beer's a little expensive).
I should've auditioned for Them Crooked Vultures, You know, just to say I did. I think I got my crooked left foot turned straight after finishing that phrase. Pretty sure.

Thanks, seeing proof reminds me that I do this, lol.
The Classic Pro always leaves a mark, the soundman was duly impressed with its character last night. And he was good with the sound management: after initial soundcheck we turned the HPF on my pedal board up to near 80Hz, then brought the bass knob up a bit on the Eden WT405 amp, pushing what lows remained at the amp's input. Then, he re-eq'd my signal in the foh, leveling up the dip he'd put in my channel at around 100Hz or so. Kaboom went the 'Bird.
It's always a good move to get the sound person involved (that's the idea anyway).

I would reach out to Philadelphia Luthier Supply. This bridge may match up and is available in nickel.

IDK how big that one was. The zoos will let you touch a gator up to ~2 1/2 feet long-with its mouth taped shut.

But we mostly have different tastes in amps. That also goes for vehicles. I've been driving vans since 69 so I could load my large gear. I like the current gigmobile 'cos it'll hold all I need for any gig I'm likely to get. So my preference in vehicles isn't close to what some of y'all prefer.

That said, I've been watching alotta Barrett-Jackson the past coupla days. The only cars I liked were three 57 TBirds, 2 or 3 "Fastbang Mustbacks", and a few mid 30s Packards and Mercedes. At the risk of offending some folks, I never was impressed by Camaros. $220K+ ? I don't think so. But if you've got a ship(sp?)load of disposable income-and that's what tripped yer trigger growing up-it's "yer" money.:rollno:

* not give away. I went down to FtL yesterday to talk to a guy who seemed interested. We were a good $500 apart. Oh, well. Back to the drawing board

UPDATE: This morning, because I have absolutely nothing better to do, I scrolled through the entire auction-including the [stuff] that wasn't on TV. I found ~8 more of interest(no clue what they sold for). Particularly, a P1800 :drool: and a 63 Golden Hawk.:drool:

Maybe because I started driving in 61-yeah, I'm old-that's what influences my preferences.

There was one late 60s car I drove a few times I really liked. My best friend from H.S. days liked to drive my 69 Ford Econoline. We wrote out permission slips for each other to drive our respective vehicles. So every once in awhile, he'd take the van and I'd be "stuck" driving his 67(or 68-I gots CRS) Shelby GT-500, 428(9?), 4 speed manual.:)

Sound man/person? FOH? Wuzzat. Last time we had sound men was in 2015. None of the venues we play have either of those. I'm subbing with a big band Tuesday night. I think that place has sound folk.
