Would not be easy to swap them, at least not for me. I had Thunder Road Guitars do that for me, nice work too, was about 100.00 including the set up. Ya know the Maple neck is yours if you want it :)

Very cool basses! Crazy an LED flashlight was bleeding into your Bass output but it might indicate your control panel shield is not adequate. Pickups are only mV outputs so a noisy, high switching LED circuit could ride right into that circuit.
I used to work for an Electrical Contracting company and there was often leftover product available to us in the warehouse. I brought home some high powered LED fixtures and mounted them over my bench.
They are great - lots of white light.
But put a bass on the bench and plug it into an amp for troubleshooting? Yikes! Those fixtures (meant for a commercial environment) put out a LOT of noiseo_O.

nice boots! Lamas? Luccheses?
Thanks. Luccheses? You think I print money or sell shine out the back door? Maybe one day if I find a nice used pair reasonable. That's no small task. Their used boots fetch what many nice brands cost new. Nothing high dollar. These are Ariats for knocking around. My nicer boots are both Dan Post. They are still in the affordable range.

Weird thing about the Ariats is I sent them a message that the removable insole had collapsed after a few months and asked about new and maybe better insoles. They asked for pics and model number, then sent me another pair of boots like those in the pic. I told them I was just asking about insoles and didn't know if the boots were intentional or a mistake. I assumed mistake. The lady I was emailing with never replied. Making me think a mistake, but I don't know how anyone would have thought my concern and wording was with the boots and not just the insoles. I planned to gladly sent them back. Really great customer service, or failure to communicate customer service. They were very nice in that they didn't blow my concern off and wanted to do something. These days many companies won't bother to acknowledge an email.

I don’t like it either. But it’s mostly because I suck at it.

Brecker and Fagen of Steely Dan weren't keen on it either, however Chuck Rainey felt otherwise regarding the chorus of "Peg", albeit in a subtle way. Check out the vid at 1:38 where he describes how he turned away so they couldn't see him doing it-

Myself, when recently asked by a keyboardist, trying to judge my level of bassmanship, if I did crazy slap and pop, replied that fretless playing was my calling card of accomplishment (such as it is).

I agree that it sounds cool, but tends to sound the same in standalone exhibitionist applications. I use it sparingly if a song moment calls for it, but it's occasional for accentuation not exhibition.

Bottom line is I suck at it too-

I recall watching David Gilmour's 80's tour video and him discussing how the overhead stage lighting in one of the venues was interfering with his guitar's wireless system. His road crew managed to sort it out though-
