I still switched to a musician's belt (when I wear a belt) because the buckle was tearing up my shirts.

My bird brethren, I would like to take a informal pole. How many of you would be interested in a Overend Watts signature Thunderbird II? Imho a Epiphone 60s Thunderbird would make the perfect starting point and from a manufacturing standpoint a very easy process aside from getting Pete's estate on board.
Please keep it to yes or no, not I'd rather see so and so get a signature bass as I hope to use this to make my case with my friends at Gibson.

Be wary. While I have not had a problem with mine, at least one on here had issues. Hipshot or Gibson made good. But they are not the same internal design. It is the only disappointment about my ‘21 NR.

I have 4 basses with the Hipshot Ultralight LIC tuners and 2 with the US version. They all work fine. The US versions are reversible.

It’s generally looking good for us down here in the Golden State. Knock on mahogany. Reservoirs are at highs, and in some cases higher, than we’ve seen for eight years. More relief is coming.

I was shocked how high the San Luis reservoir was when I went to Chucky’s in August. Oroville above Sacto is fixed and collecting water. The Army Corps of Engineers finally completed work on the main dam at Lake Isabella (ten years in the works) and it’ll be full by the end of this season. There are still concerns about Lake Powell in AZ, and Lake Mead in Nevada. There is hope that they’ll continue to rise with the Pineapple Express blowing through now and runoff in the spring.

I hope we’ve learned our lesson. Plans are being made to collect runoff in L.A. that has previously been allowed to spill into the ocean. The SoCal water system was designed in the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s when no one anticipated the population boom we saw in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.

We had big drought issues around ‘77 - ‘78, but then things got back to normal and no one really cared to plan for the future.

There is no excuse for not conserving water. But for SoCal, it’ll be ok. I worry about friends and family we have in and near Phoenix. As of now, things still look pretty bleak for them, water wise.

Arizona and Nevada are in trouble. I'm nervous about the mud cliffs in LA. The Ford Theater would be buried in mud in a wet climate. It is just cut into the mud in a way that spooks me to look at. It would have all fallen and the manmade part would be buried in mud in a wet climate. If LA gets lots of rain, it won't be good.

Maybe. A II would be great, but it will come down to what color and how the neck feels in my hands. White, black, and burst are not colors I would buy.

Sure do... with all due respect to you personally Mike, gas prices (or anything else for that matter) would never get me to move to Florida. I'm sure that is ok with most Floridians.

Gas was $2.37/Liter here in the summer. Now it's down to about $1.65 CAN so about $1.22 USD per liter. Multiply by 3.7854 for a US Gallon and you get $4.61 USD. Glad I work from home!

Having said that for polling purposes, I would want the pickup in the original position, and of course price matters. I of course realize it would be more than a 60s bird, but also being a single p/u should be a bit less expensive than two (or three 8^).

Actually, you can force gasoline prices down. Unfortunately, it takes several million people to cooperate and not be lazy. Refiners have very limited storage for finished goods. They depend on the public to store it for them. If enough people just put in enough gasoline for a day or two, prices would come down to incentivize people to fill up. They can’t afford to shut down a refinery due to lack of storage. Never happen

I'm curious... which version of the OW bass are we talking about? If this 'distressed' version - sign me up. Come on Gibson Custom Shop, get with the program! Fender (FCS) has been producing tasty relic'd finishes for decades now.
