good angle, maybe that makes it more feasible….no paint?..I'd be ok with no hardware or electronics.
I got mine at Guitar Center, although to be honest, it was advertised as an Epic Firebird.![]()
I've never seen one for sale.

Lot's of good, common sense info here:so, since our harp player Rob passed, the band (SAB) has decided to change its format and I’ve been invited to play upright which I have not played in an ensemble since HS….since I’m considering it, I have to start researching a pretty foreign world (to me) now that includes the bass and adequate amplification….life’s all about learning ain’t it….![]()
Nothing at either today - Let me know if you see one again!GC had a 4 string listed a couple days ago. Might be a couple on Reverb as well.
I would also be ok with that - just a mahogany body with set neck.good angle, maybe that makes it more feasible….no paint?..
then you can do belly cuts…thin the body and whatever else prior to paint…just dreaming of course…I would also be ok with that - just a mahogany body with set neck.
The Basement of Bad Ideas and Blasphemy has a very low ceiling. Just a hair under seven feet. Every headstock that has ever been there has hit the ceiling. The standing joke is that all guitarists have to leave their mark. I have repainted it a couple times to even it back out, even if there's a bit of remaining texture. My CP and VP whacked the ceiling within a month of arrival.
And that car would be on its third valve regrind by 20k miles, too.If it’s a Ferrari with 20,000 miles on it makes perfect sense to me.
I would have guessed they were ice fishing or playing hockey. And drinking beers, eh.Maybe at the BBQ
Go for it! The doghouse is an absolute blast to play.so, since our harp player Rob passed, the band (SAB) has decided to change its format and I’ve been invited to play upright which I have not played in an ensemble since HS….since I’m considering it, I have to start researching a pretty foreign world (to me) now that includes the bass and adequate amplification….life’s all about learning ain’t it….![]()

I would consider one with no hardware, electronics, or paint. It would have to be a reverse, though, which probably throws a wrench in everything.good angle, maybe that makes it more feasible….no paint?..
My upright has a Full Circle pickup. I have tried all kinds of different signal chains to get the right amplified sound. None are quite right, but good enough for me. When it's amplified, it's going to be loud and getting the perfect sound is less of an issue. The one thing that's a must for me is going wireless. That way the bass can spin and be a dance partner without the kind of cord hilarity that might amuse an audience for a moment but that would end a show and cost a lot of repair time and money.Lot's of good, common sense info here:

I suggest the K&K Bassmax (single) pickup into an FDeck HPF. As far as amplification, what you want is flat. I use a GK MB200 with the EQ set 10-2-1-10 (to counter the built in scoop) into an Ampeg 210AV.
Your Markbass gear will probably work great.
Yeah, it is a Monitor lizard and its largest living relative is the Komodo Dragon in Indonesia. They are no joke but like most things, leave it alone and give it space and it will leave you alone. They can look great on boots.....
That thing is no lizard. It's small dinosaur.
