Don’t blame him.He has a 7ender P and the BaCH. Says neither are going anywhere.
what about the Hiwatt?..He has a 7ender P and the BaCH. Says neither are going anywhere.
Has it chained to his wrist. Said he saw it in a music store, drove half way home, called himself an idiot, and drove back. He’s looking for another 412 16 ohm cab. Are Hiwatts only 8 ohm?what about the Hiwatt?..
If one could be found, we would have got it for you as a token of our appreciation for you Mike.Yeah, I know. Otherwise I'd have one. My Coffin(TM) Case will hafta do.

Yes.…and on to another Thunderbird specific question:
Is this the right replacement jack for the USA/Gibson (90’s to now) reverse ‘birds?
Pure Tone Barrel Jack - StewMac

The 27-year-old Ravens quarterback made history as the youngest two-time MVP since the National Football League and the American Football League merged more than 50 years ago. Jackson is the ninth NFL player to win more than one Associated Press NFL MVP award since 1967 but is the only one who hasn't won a Super Bowl.

I paid $150 for the VP with a broken neck I’m going to amputate and add a regular Epi neck to. I do not believe the break at the headstock is reparable. At least to my OCD satisfaction. And I pretty much hate the ginormous VP headstock. I only paid that with the thought that I could get that back for the pair of Epi 760 Probuckers in it. It’ll be converted to a II with a Gibson Reissue in it. And it will be painted Pelham Blue, of course. For sure you could make it work.
Given the bridge mod, and without the pickups , it's not worth $300 IMO.
Whatever the original was in the ‘15, it failed. I put a Pure Tone in it. Even though the repair would have been under the Gibson warranty, I didn’t mess with making a claim.I have Pure tone outputs on all my basses.
I wouldn’t use any others since I went to those.
Should Roger get it at a reasonable price, there is a shop in Providence that did the Silverburst refin on my Gibson shortie. They did a really nice job. I’d have to search my old posts to recall who did it should @Count Bassie need the info. I suspect he would be familiar with them. Certainly willing to help if needed. If you’re after a project and don’t mind sinking far more money in a bass than it’s worth, go for it. But for me it would be a hard pass.
On neck thru and set neck basses a refin (which this bass is badly in need of) will run between $500 and $700 from a pro shop and then you’d still need trim rings (if you can find some that fit those pickups) and that’s just the cosmetic stuff. The structural stuff with the headstock repair and possibly having to redo the bridge anchors along with the $300 purchase price throws the bass into the North of $1000 bracket. That’s a no go on a VP for me considering there are pristine models out there at about half that price.
Very interesting. Thanks for the pics and history. I'm guessing the hippy bedroom is from the Jimi era.So did HendrixLast autumn I visited London and Liverpool and among other famous places, we checked out Hendrix flat in London. He had lived in the same house where Handel lived 250 years before. Jimi though it was cool, even though he didn’t know much of the fella’s stuff… According to the sign he prefered Johann Sebastian

So if he won’t sell anything, the least he could do is get involved as a member here. Sounds like a cool player. Make sure to invite him into the club.Has it chained to his wrist. I did and even mentioned we do GTGs. He’s on talkbass somewhere, just not hrre.So if he won’t sell anything, the least he could do is get involved as a member here. Sounds like a cool player. Make sure to invite him into the club.
The more the merrier. Anyone with a BaCH is certainly welcome. It would be cool to meet him at a Geo, Chucky, or Richard show.I did and even mentioned we do GTGs. He’s on talkbass somewhere, just not hrre.
I really enjoyed college football and basketball, but the powers that be are doing everything possible to ruin those, and doing a great job of it. One state labor board ruled athletes are employees and can unionize. There is a lot of discussion that could get us in trouble, but I just think they should remain "student" athletes. Otherwise the consequences. Which should be obvious to all enforcing drastically change college sports for the worse IMO. Our first Hall of Fame coach, Denny Crum (San Fernando native, UCLA grad and assistant), said for years that they should get some kind of stipend given that they cannot really hold down the job while being a student at an athlete at top levels. But it is clearly gotten out of hand.I used to love football. Then the greedy owners let the greedy Spanos family leave San Diego. I haven’t watched a single game since. I won’t be watching tomorrow.
