I've run out of my EB Wonder Wipes Fret Board Conditioner. I don't really need the "wipe" part as I have plenty of good things here for that. Looking for suggestions you find helpful and good, and that don't have things that ultimately will dry the wood out.

I've happily used clarinet bore oil for ages.

If there is a way, do it. I know it is a Monday night. Take a couple of vacation days and stay the night after the show. I have seen them many times. They have never been better. We saw the first night of the tour. They were obviously well rehearsed and ready to impress. Trust me my friend, you and Sharon will not be disappointed. BTW, George’s friend who tagged along and who didn’t know them was impressed.

I could not have cared less. The NFL is run by a bunch of greedy owners. I love baseball. Go Dodgers. Skiing, track marathons, and swimming are all I pretty much pay much pay attention to now. Otherwise, I am in the shed with a Thunderbird.

Looks better than what we had. We took a nice drive in the Beast along the river and found an "award winning" BBQ joint out side of town. I'm not sure what the award asa for, but it wasn't for the taste of any of the food items. We got different things and none of it was any good. I was glad when we left they did ask how it was! If done right I don't need any sauce. Their sauce may have made it worse.....

You southerners. The sauce is the boss. I do mine with an initial rub and a light sauce at the end. I’ve never had a complaint since 1984 when I got serious about BBQ.

When I was a kid, BBQ meant grilled with a bunch of sauce on “it”. Now, even though I’m a born and raised Northern Californian, I think I have a better appreciation for BBQ. And it rarely includes any sauce when I do it (so I guess that just means I’m grillin’) but my dad does a good job with some pre-prep and maybe some sauce when doing ribs or chicken.

Back pork loin and chicken need some sauce. Beef never needs it if it is cooked properly. With the exception of BBQ beef ribs. Come on out and I’ll do you some BBQ. Santa Maria Tri-Tip and pinquiito beans. Baby back pork ribs. Chicken. It’s all different. But it’s all good.

Well, they dropped the classic Farmer John’s Dodgerdog a few seasons back. The replacement is awful.

I bought a couple of those a few years back, my ears can’t hear a difference.

any jacks that I have needed to replace were not switchcraft jacks. They were no name generic metric jacks.

And switchcraft are half the price of the pure tone.

If price and availability were more in line with switchcraft I’d buy some more of them.

Some stock geetar wiring is smaller than 22gauge so more contact isn’t a factor.

So when the ‘15 acted up and the bridge pickup wasn’t working, Carruthers diagnosed it as a jack issue. He put in a Pure-tone and I haven’t had an issue since.

I use 10gauge speaker cables, which I know does not translate to a 10 gauge copper path from end to end, but it can’t hurt….

Don’t we all. But that has kept issues to the minimum. You generally get what you pay for.

The red strings do stand out, especially against dark colors.
