But it didn't capture the address so we know where those great basses live. I love all of them but know I wouldn't get along with the Epi EBO.Even my cheap-@$$ flip phone has a faster 'shutter' speed in daylight.

All the cool kids are using 10.
So you can be bought. And somewhat easily it seems! There's this thing called "alcohol", perhaps that could be exchanged for the fee.![]()

Are you nuts?I've been chewing on this for a few days, so I'm going to get it off of my chest, ignore as necessary. As long as a bass has good quality, neck/frets/components/weight/design, and can/has a good setup, a $700 bass can feel and sound as good as a $2k and up bass. Having owned or played almost every well known boutique bass out there, I believe my position has merit. Therefore I dispute that any number of my under $1k basses don't feel as good as any of my over $1k basses. I also believe a blind test would further demonstrate this. Just my opinion based upon 56+ years of playing, 40 years of gigging, and 60+ basses owned (hmmm, need to update my personal details). This is not a troll post, that's not my style, and I would welcome being proven wrong about my premise.
I agree with you. I have played few expensive boutique basses, but a lot of vintage basses since the later-mid 70s. I agree with you that a <$1k bass can feel--and in many cases--sound as good or better than a >$1k bass. I've played some nice vintage basses worth $10k or more that played and felt awful. Generally sounded great, but not always. I'll add to your premise that old basses don't always sound better than newer basses. Often they do, but it's not always in my experience. I have a '58 Pbass and love it, but I have played a number from that time, and find most I likely would not have bought.Almost certainly. It would be very strange and prone to problems to do anything else.…and the first 12AX7 is likely to be closest to the input?

This is the best pic I have available, of my other AD200, which is already loaded with some great RCA 12AX7’s and a 12BH7, as well as some Phillips/Sylvania 6550’s. I’m not making any changes to this one. The farthest(tallest) is the 12BH7, the closest 12AX7 is on the same side of the amp as the input and gain knob. So my powers of deduction say the middle tube is the phase splitter(?).
More contact is a factor, as it gives the best chance of a solid, clean connection.I bought a couple of those a few years back, my ears can’t hear a difference.
any jacks that I have needed to replace were not switchcraft jacks. They were no name generic metric jacks.
And switchcraft are half the price of the pure tone.
If price and availability were more in line with switchcraft I’d buy some more of them.
Some stock geetar wiring is smaller than 22gauge so more contact isn’t a factor.

It should help with speaker cables. Lots more current.I use 10gauge speaker cables, which I know does not translate to a 10 gauge copper path from end to end, but it can’t hurt….
I also spend money on gear foolishly…
I’d bet there’ll be a lot of discussion on the OT coin toss winner strategy that the niners used.…
yeah bummer about the niners…..don’t know about that new OT rule…..![]()
Possibly some over exaggeration and snake oil in the claims, but at the end of the day the Pure Tone is a much better and more robust design than the typical pinpoint contact jack. For that reason alone it’s the only Jack I use in my builds.although I don’t subscribe to their marketing spiel, just ordered two of these for that 7ender Deville….given that MTBF (mean time between failures) is driven mostly by interconnect, paying twice per connector is not an issue at all for me…

A particularly soulful live rendition of "Eminence Front" with some, cool bone-breaking riffage from John Entwistle- Seattle 1982-

I’ll disagree with your $700 bass vs a $2k bass theory.I've been chewing on this for a few days, so I'm going to get it off of my chest, ignore as necessary. Same here. Most think putting something over a flame is BBQ. I like BBQ both ways, especially if someone has good sauce. I'm a BBQ snob, but some are worse than me and think sauce is from satan. Pulled pork almost always gets a little. With Brisket and ribs it's a toss up and depends on how good each taste. I love good sauce and will use it when merited.
Would seem fair, like a notary fee!It is done

My version of a one off, Jeff mod shop TBird is now complete.
Irv not only sent me two stand alone foil versions.
But a fresh TRC with the red foil logo.
