I'll give it a try sometime - or maybe raised logos. I don't think PLA would last long though. That could be fun for the pick players here who like cutouts for grip. Cut out little Thunderbird logos.

The material I'm using is called PLA. It wouldn't make a very durable pick, but there are other choices. I haven't looked into them yet.
It's been a fairly steep learning curve figuring out how to go from concept to finished piece. The bridge cover spacers took about 3 hours of trying different ways to get a printable image.
I just made a replacement PU trim ring for my Casady. Luckily I was able to find the file online, so it didn't take too long to print. But getting it to look decent required sanding, primer, and paint.
I had a friend that missed his wife's birthday..Man was she angry. To make up for its she told him that she wanted something in the driveway tomorrow that went to 300 in less than 12 seconds.Yes!
Some love fast and I get it and am not knocking it, but I personally don't need a vehicle that can potentially do 200MPH--or just look like it could. Just not my thing.
Thanks. I literally know nothing about 3D printing. Seems more like some kind of voodoo to me! Unless there were huge demand, it's definitely not worth spending an hour figuring out how to print a pick when so many choices abound. The material I'm using is called PLA. Hmm. The scale and maybe her mouth are the only things capable of that.I had a friend that missed his wife's birthday..Man was she angry. To make up for its she told him that she wanted something in the driveway tomorrow that went to 300 in less than 12 seconds.
The next morning she looked out the front door and saw a scale.
He hasn't been seen since then.
I was watching a Mecum from 2023 and couldn't believe someone didn't buy this. Very reasonable. A fraction of the cost of one of bazillion Mustangs, Camaros and late '50s Chevys. This thing is gorgeous and a head-turner. Can't imagine cruzin down the road in this. The side view is amazing.

There are lots of files available for guitar picks, so that would be fast. I just haven't looked seriously at other plastics.Thanks. I literally know nothing about 3D printing. I heard that too! If Chris was still alive today he would need to use a Susan B Anthony Dollar for a pick due to inflation! Ha!Chris Squire once said he used a US quarter to get certain sounds.
I've been using an online program called.Tinkercad for design. It's aimed at kids.I'm thinking of getting my 11 yo a 3d printer for Christmas this year, then I can just tell him what I want and he can make it for me...

If your son is interested, I would encourage him. But do some reading on printers to avoid spending a lot of time setting the machine itself up. That seems to be its own hobby!
The one we got worked right out of the box, but it wasn't the cheapest option.
Feel free to PM me about it.
Ours was more like Epiphone moneyI do need to research, as I know nothing about them.
I will probably spend Rickenbacker money on one, so it lasts....
They were a cool band. Fun material.I have been playing some Budgie stuff though…
tell me about it…..wore these while here…I’d recognize the photog’s shoes anywhere.
The singer/keys guy in the band I started with recently says he is going to print picks with the band initials to throw into the audience. Really? It is pretty funny because we are a dad band. There are lots of files available for guitar picks, so that would be fast. I just haven't looked seriously at other plastics.

Smoke 'em if you got 'em? Or something like that? The singer/keys guy in the band I started with recently says he is going to print picks with the band initials to throw into the audience. Really? It is pretty funny because we are a dad band.
I get throwing the pics out if you're Warren Haynes, but...The singer/keys guy in the band I started with recently says he is going to print picks with the band initials to throw into the audience. Really? It is pretty funny because we are a dad band.

Well, for those you who aren't, and thus have no idea what it is. It's an eighties "Soundmix Machine" or as we know it today: a Karaoke Machine, although its modern day descendant is way different with Bluetooth and wireless Mics.

Last weekend, I picked one of those up for cheap, because one of the Tape players had been removed. It came with the tapes, that are on top of it.
Now because those things have a guitar input, I figured that I could try it out as an amp, see if I could get any good sounds from it.
Yeah... Nope, it sounds way too tinny and bloodless for my taste, when plugged into the Mic input, it got some fuzz but not particularly creamy fuzz tones.

But deciding that it could have its uses, I cleared out a spot in my workshop, placed it there, and hooked a CD player via a cable that goes into the Guitar input. It works really well, sure, those 40-something Hi-fi speakers that are in there don't really give a "Hi-Fi" sound in modern terms, but it's way fun. Old school and I still can use it to test out guitars.
That's really interesting. There are lots of files available for guitar picks, so that would be fast. I just haven't looked seriously at other plastics.

My first car was more a poor kid's hotrod you might say. After that I knew I wanted looks, luxury, smooth ride and style. Thus the Cordoba. That looks awesome.
Agree, just need a bit of style, and a bigger bit of comfort and enough ‘go’ to get out of trouble
