Thunderbird Club

I'm pretty sure original AC/DC bass player Mark Evans might have a word with you over that. When he wasn't playing his Fender P-bass, he used the odd Thunderbird once in a while, and it was the one without a bridge pickup.

I just got the 5 string SIT power flats for $36 and change shipped from strings by mail. they sent me a $5 coupon.

they seem to have the best prices on SIT strings I have found.

Strings and beyond is who I usually use for Pyramid strings

who do y’all use for strings?

I had gotten the only other set of SIT strings I ever bought from Amazon.

Amazon still has the TI flats sold as “accordion accessories” for cheap. I didn’t care for the strings but lots do like them.

I typically buy strings from my local GC.

I considered ordering from Strings & Beyond, but I'm full up on 'beyonds'.:smug:

My local was stocking rotosounds last few times I was there and I think they regularly have ebcf’s in stock. But I haven’t been in there for at least a year or maybe two lately.

I usually have a few spare sets of strings in the drawer so I don’t look to hard at strings.

I’m in the music go wrong a few times a year and have no clue what they stock for strings. Been in there looking at drum stuff for the boy lately.

I’m not sure that I have the stomach to go through 14,000+ pages, but as I’m considering a Thunderbird, are there any post or posts that the club can point to when debating the merits of the through-neck versions versus the bolt on?

I’m coming from the world of bolt on neck, fenders, if that context is useful.

It's a great question - We encourage that here :)
It's the spark of a good conversation, there are many different Thunderbirds out there.
