Are you up to watch the matches?
I mean... PRE CBS?
not commonly seen pickguard either…not to mention the neck plate serial makes it more like a ‘75, possibly early ‘76 before the “Precision Bass” font got smaller.
It’s 1:30pm Marshall on Sunday Marshall. Are you up to watch the matches?

Did you swing by Dog River?I went Regina, Saskatchewan for meetings this week. Arrived at 3am on Wednesday and it was -27C (-16F)
Sure was nice to come back to the wet coast!
Says something about the company you keep.![]()
That sounds like a good time!Come out for a visit when the Happy Hollows are playing sometime. I’ve only seen them twice and that was pre-pandemic. You can use the guest room at the mountain, we’ll play Thunderbirds through the SVT in the basement and serenade the black bears.
Yep. But Brian encouraged her to be herself. Hence she used her bass. She’s tiny. And didn’t have a ton of time to prepare for the tour. No way could she be expected to get used to a Thunderbird. The vids of the shows she played show she is extremely talented. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see her play with them.
A little bit of ebony T-Bird action.
Didn’t know. Thanks for sharing it!I just missed the Dave era. Forgive me I was 12. (Saw him in Rabbit later on. Compare the two versions of this song. The one with Bon eats that one alive.)
I was all aboard from the start of the Bon era. I heard Baby Please Don’t Go on the radio and I was hooked from then on.
BTW on the first album here (I bought it when it was first out, but on cassette!) had Mal & Angus trading lead and solos on Soul Stripper (a great track I reckon), and I think Mal snuck in a little bit of lead on another track, Show Business I think.
BTW if you can find Stevie Wright (ex Easybeats) hit song Evie, the guitar solo on Evie Part 1 recording is Malcolm. (George brung Malcolm and then Angus into the studio when they were very young to expose them to the recording process so they’d be that little more advanced when the time came for them to record their own stuff. The Marcus Hook Roll Band album was one such exercise).
Harry Vanda (ex Easybeats) played the solo on Evie Part 3. Evie was a huge hit here for Stevie Wright and is up at the pointy end of “Best Ever Aussie Rock songs” lists. You can hear the Vanda Young guitar riff style that became so ubiquitous is Aussie pub rock in Evie.
So sorry. I do go on a bit!
You probably knew all that.![]()
