So! Much! Win!

Sorry for coming off pompous sounding there.

Not a concious or intentional effort do drop out of the culture of things at that time.
Sort of just get locked into certain things in what's comfortable and, I automatically put on the blinders.

Hence the ignorance.
I DID drop out of pop culture at a young age. Hence, complete mystification when somebody starts talking about a TV show, movie, or just about anything else, from any era. The completely blank look seems to amuse people who were paying attention to that kind of thing when they were younger. Unfortunately, it also results in having very little to say when the conversation turns to those kinds of things. Good thing there's making noise. Without regular noise therapy, people like me would have to find out what we missed. PHWEW!

:)

A mild upgrade on an earlier post of my ThunderBacker. I covered the aestheticaly questionable bridge toaster style pickup with a home made cover. Its not a carbon copy of an original T bird cover but more of an original design. It was a tad wider than I wanted it to be so I tried to fool the untrained eye by outlining the edges in flat black while keeping the metal raw in color as Ive seen with the original T bird covers. I found that using beads from a craft store gives the extra length you need to move the string bindings away from resting on the saddle, increased the sustain for $3 and change.View attachment 1102818
All I can say about that is WOW! Nicely done.

Well, at least your know about polyester! ;)

Polyester transcends generations, culture, and everything else. When space aliens come down to earth, they won't be looking for our leader, they will be looking for a good source of polyester to keep Elvis shiny and happy. If the ancient Egyptians had polyester, they wouldn't have needed to build pyramids for Pharaoh. Polyester would have keep Pharaoh shiny and presentable for eternity. There's nothing that doesn't get more stylish with shiny polyester. Style over comfort!

But it probably would've melted in that heat.

Elvis predated polyester clothes. I seriously doubt he wore that crap when he could afford silk and wool.

That might be too much information anywhere but here.

You're coming to the Seattle GTG aren't you, we'll discuss it more in person, I think a scandalous photo op will take place :D

I can't imagine the queen would be caught dead in tighty-whities. :D

I just look terrible in white, you're so correct. :roflmao:
