Thunderbird Club

They look much cooler than a reverse 7ender product

Sorry dudes, I tried to dig the strap button behind the neck - tried different straps, both with and without locks and didn't like how the bass sat against my front. So I very carefully drilled out a hole on the top and installed a Dunlop strap lock button where they normally are on Epiphone and Lull T-birds, and I'm very pleased with how the bass hangs on me now. The first position feels a few miles out, but I guess that's gonna happen with any bass that doesn't have a horn or piece of wood extending to at least the 12th fret. :D The Alembic Mark King models are the same.

The bass came with what I surmise are a really old set of Dean Markleys. They are kind of dead, especially the B string, so I ordered up a set of D'Addario Prosteels from Bass Strings Online. Can't wait to throw them on and rock the bass at rehearsal next week. I'm pretty happy with the action and neck on the bass right now, but I'll double check intonation when I change strings.

Anybody looking for a single pickup Greco? There's one up for sale on the Firebird/Thunderbird FB group. No affiliation.

If you are referring to the one posted by James on my page, that is a nice bass. Pretty clean for a bass that age too. James is a good guy too.

You'll have to post a photo. I don't do FB (too many bat s##t crazy people in my past trying to find me in the present which would end my future).

I get enough batsh1tness just with my email address. Instructions for job interviews I haven't applied for, flights from Taiwan to the Philippines I haven't booked, San Francisco BMW service reminders, requests to authorise a child's online gaming account - NO!... Someone signed up for FB with one of my other email addresses and then dozens of password reset emails were coming every day when they couldn't get in ... after I edited the page, the reset requests finally went away.

I hear ya!
I'm all about keeping my internet footprint small. I even go so far as to google myself occasionally to make sure I don't pop up anywhere unexpected. FB, Twitter, Etsy, Pinterest and the like are like kryptonite to me.

To rewind the thread a bit, and to go a little OT. I did a google and now remember that 12" single I got in lieu of cash way back when.
Does "Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five on the Wheels of Steel" ring bells? (Any) Cultural significance?
I do know of GMF and 'The Message' is excellent but apart from that, it's not really my thing.

Thunderbird Club off topic!? Couldn't happen.

The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash on the Wheels of Steel - Wikipedia

""The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash on the Wheels of Steel" is a single released by Invalid Link Removed in 1981. It is a live DJ mix recording of Flash scratching and mixing records from various groups using three turntables. This single was highly influential on many DJs and an early example of what would eventually be termed turntablism."
