Thunderbird Club

I think I'm in Thunderbird purgatory right now.

Trust me, I've been there -Even had to sell a couple that I really didn't want to in the effort to keep the "bigger picture" together. Time passes, things change and opportunities present themselves, I know there's always going to be Thunderbirds out there to buy, sometimes the money and the bass come together at just the right time - Maybe a new Epi later this year?

You so understand.

I do have something I can trade, but not worth very much dollar wise.

bottom line, "the money and the bass come together".

This will happen.

You sound like a disciplined "window shopper". So, if "looking" isn't a bummer, you can stay vigilant until your cash reserves and a "bargain" align. Your window shopping will give you a good idea of fair market value (as will the knowledgeable and friendly bird fans here). You will also develop a much better idea of what feels and sounds good to you, no? Then, you never know when another bird owner in your area will need cash and you can score some Craigslist bass bounty. In the meantime, go hang at the local SA or GC and practice your chops on their dime (and crank it to drown out all the shred guitar noise).

Ah, that is exactly my plan @Stevis.

You and TBird know the drill. As so do all the Thunderbird brethren and sisters.

I'm narrowing it down to what I want.
Some say it's the chase that's the real game.

It's both the chase and the kill for me on this one.

Poison was an opening band for two different shows I went to back in the olden days. One was opening for Loudness, the other was...Ratt, maybe, or Y&T. They were so bad I walked out on 'em twice. I saw Tesla open for DL in the round forever ago, and they were excellent. Them boys is good.

Loudness was a great band until they started trying the sing in English

Having a moving sale guys. My Bird with case is up for sale in the classifieds

Awww..... Man, sucks.
Considering your hazing ritual, you have to keep your club #.

Oh I'll keep the number.

Selling 2 basses, and maybe the cabinet. New house is smaller and I will no longer have a bass room.

We've been purging a lot of stuff. Lots of trash, lots of donated stuff. Sold or gave away a lot of parts. Moving sucks

I know what it's like to have to purge and move.

I used some black nylon fasteners on mine. A bit of nail polish or Loctite will keep the nut in place in the control cavity, or forget the nut and use superglue - but that's a one time, one way operation. Can't offer much advice about the pup cavity, suppose it depends if you want it to be reversible or not.

Really digging those knobs!
