Thunderbird Club

Not true. This is the original strap button location on both of mine (which was the location for ALL Gibson basses of the period).

Also unlike Bicentennials with horn mounted buttons, they don't dive...but what do I know about '60s Gibsons?:)
Learn something new every day. My enthusiasm for a '60s 'Bird just went up again. For what it's worth, I have an EB-2 that taught me about the elevated headstock abilities of Gibson bass guitars. Mine's red, and not quite as pristine as yours, but considering that it was my only bass guitar for almost 20 years, it's in great condition.

I'd most like it to disappear. Which is a little inconsistent with the inclination to do such a rash move on this axe, with its patina and maybe off-to-match coloring. But the p'up cover might lend some forgiveness, and enable a proper camouflage when I can work it out.

However, that quasi-steampunk idea has found occasion to rear its auld head again. Maybe a blackened-bronze colored grate?
How about a junction box blank off panel in dark bronze? Maybe a little on the big side, but it's plenty steam punk enough.

It was the Frank that got snagged. Hence the nickname we gave him from then on (which he detested!), Scar Hog.

Have you seen my baseball?

There is a Nice Silver Bird in the classifieds. 150.00 or BO.
Why cant deals like that be local and when I am not broke? Not sure I want another wide neck bird, the goth is enough, I still want the TV silver.

I've missed out on several nice Bird related items recently due to not being so liberal with the bread.

I blame it on a computer repair at the moment.

So chaps my hide.

And at SA here in Ny they have two Epiphone Birds, one of which that just played so lovely at 449.

Can you not buy it on - don't know the US term - lay by? 25% down and the rest over 2 months or what have you?

Live off pasta and beans.
