I like them fried and a few other ways, but I'm with you. I know people love them, but just seems like a big seafood booger to me. But I'm unsophisticated and know it. With that and and other things I always wondered about the conversations about eating some things for the very first time.
"Hey, look at this. Let's eat it."
"What? Seriously? Why? It doesn't even look good."
"What could go wrong?"
"A lot."
"How do you know?"
"Because we don't know anyone who ever ate that before."
"So."
"There's likely a reason. Like they knew better, died from it or were ashamed to tell anyone because people
would say, 'You put what in your mouth?"
Obviously most of it grew out of necessity (hunger), but still makes me wonder.
