I really do like my pf50t it's kind of a do all amp. If I didn't have it I'd get a second genz-benz.



I dont even know what crown is, but it's probably a banana seat 3-speed bicycle, but it's way better than jack or black velvet.

my no brakes story involves 4 wheel drums and a single master cylinder.

Mine was the last trip down the drag strip last year. Went through the speed traps at 110, reach up for the brakes and there was not…

but it has a clutch pedal, so I used it instead. Still went around the sweeper corner off the track at about 75 with slicks on the back. But I didnt die

fortunately I was near an unfinished road construction area and could downshift and coast to a stop.

Hi guys, Got my used white, ebony board TBird today as the only TB i would like to my. Bday gift. Tried to do my homework and check some info about authenticity but still asking you here for legitimity help. So lets start a bit with description of the instrument.

My TB has typical truss rod as my Czech Epiphones have, the rod with brass cone, not simple allen wrench as my other brands. SN is not very deep in and seems its kinda only stamped? Unfortunatelly, not having my Gibson SG anymore to compare that as it had stamped sn too. My Czech Epis has only SN painted or printed. Pots and pups wire sleeves seemed like liked on my Gibson SG pickup I have. I have not checked pups in rehersal room tho... Should there be Gibson logo as well?

Bass came with a Gibson case. In the end i took it as seemed kinda legit, really nice playing and resonating to me, no paint smudges or so. I was reading about both QC and then not too much love for basses from company overall.

That confuses me, as it is only accoustic instrument factory? I have read tho, that last of numbers might not correctly represent the place and sn in the end could not be correct in this regard. Year should be ok, if i read the code right, i guess. 2007 was time these were in productions, i believe. 0 first, 7 fifth number. App was not made by Gibson, so not wanna count on 100% credibility there.

I would also like to ask if the body and fretboard connection could be tiny messy and not super perfect. Got, only as a NT, Spector Euro LX, where the construction is bit different. Checked other TBs pics for it, and i have found on ozzyowl s page one white TB repair, where the ebony fretboard also seems not totally nicely edged with sharp border of ebony to the body (color) Kinda like color residue is there? Maybe i am to nitpick here. Other than that, i think the finish was pretty nice considering yelliwing of nitro and tiny laquers cracks.

The guy from Germany seemed as very transparent guy and i am pretty sure he would not want to cross me and sell me a fake, got only best experience with German neighbours buying instruments wise. We were in rehersal room, talked a lot about gear or the tribute band he is in... He was seeling it as not played that anymore cuz he prefer bigger meatier TB styled basses. Had some custom and Schecter like that there.

Looks good! The white nut and Grover tuners are a good indication that it's a Gibson.

I don't think an '07 would have an ebony fb. Is it possible the s/n is 0xxx2xxx? An '02 would have an ebony fb. I have a white '03, and it looked the same as yours.

Ho, number is 0xxx7xxx. I think i have seen some White TB with a description it was made in 06, so 07 is not far from it, so considered it fine.

Edit - Ok, tried to look under pups, cuz removed strings for fboard cleaning and oiling and no Gibson logo or metal plate as i have on my 490 pup from SG guitar.No clue how the basses have it or TBirds particulary. I was told that electronic was checked, original (besides new jack) and working.Which is and bass is also very nice and quiet, no noise or stuff.

The pots say "Gibson" and while not fool proof that would be a good indication it's real.

Those are TB+ ceramic magnet pickups and are correct for that being a Gibson

Thanks a lot guys. In some cases, id expect Gibson quality tiny bigger with details. Might be the age and usage of it as it was road warrior, i ve been told. Back of the neck is great tho, so only the dings on a body, heads tell a story to me and thats plus. Neckdive is only little, should see my BC Rich to compare...

Seems i can sleep now calmly, even if the Rick 4001/03 was my dreambass. i refuse dish so much money and just let that dream go. Even stuff i have is too good for.my lousy hands. This white TB was second best stuff i wanted and good enough for my 40s anniversary for sure.

Who knows, maybe once... Now ive got some usa rock 'n' roll machine at home and happy enough and still kinda some bucks lighther, could get other color for about 350€ cheaper, but white and ebony was that I wanted.

Regarding your S/N, the first and fourth digits are the year of production. Digits 2,3 and 4 are the day of that year. Fifth digit is the plant code, 6 and 7 are that instrument's rank in the day's production.

Decent price for a used one. Of course being GC, they're calling it new. It would take two minutes to clean off the fingerprints. Yet they don't. Because it's GC.

Congrats! That looks like a Gibson. And some finish details that aren't quite as good as an Epiphone confirms it

I know those GC salesmen are working hard but couldn't they at least wipe the greasy smudged fingertips off the Bass?
